Quote:I remember a year ago when Ry set new deadlines for the Iran war every 2 months and 4 years ago when AJ had us all shitting our pants that the elections would never happen, I'll be dead ass honest, I bet we'll have elections, and war with Iran goes up and down non-stop. Remember the big October Iran war scare 6 months ago? Just because they're doing things or giving speeches doesn't mean they're going to do it, chalk it up to just keeping us on our toes or just governments wasting time.

I'm not saying people shouldn't make bulletins like this, it is all very very creepy and if we go to war tomorrow I wouldn't be surprised, but none of us know for a fact what the hell could actually be going on.

P.S. The Israeli wargames sent a chill down my neck

EDIT: I guess my point was (and I hate saying this) 99% of conspiracy theorists have a piss poor batting average. When they hit they're on the money, but I'm done pissing my pants
And the point being everybody knows the neocons want into Iran - who knows, maybe each time we post these warnings (irregardless if they come to pass or not) it actually prolongs peace that much longer.

OR (and this is what I think's gonna happen) they'll wait until NO ONE gives a shit and go to war at the most random moment. What if war starts under the next president?

Agreed, keep the alerts checked in the public record, but no one knows what these crazies are up to

I agree with this. But here is the most troubling thing about it, a couple of the more significant war predictions have been made by Russian generals. Why on earth would they want to add to this "waiting out" of the American people's anger. As you said, eventually we will come to expect the war and then we will be more inclined to just accept it. So, again, why would the Russian add to that? Shouldn't they dread our war with Iran? I really dont want to sign onto any grand conspiracies that the whole world is bought and paid for. But, who fuckin knows anymore?

By the mention of war, they condition their people to accept the war, and I'm sure that they will demonize Americans just as much as Bush has demonized the middle east. China would not have to use nukes, they have what they call the "nuclear option", which is financial. All they need do is one of two things, call on the T Bills they hold, or switch to a different currency other than the dollar, like euros or pounds, both of which are standing way ahead in worth.

China & Russia can use nukes to fuel the US to ralley the people, but then again, they are right in range for Israel to do a false flagg op. Either way, TPTB win. They can finance both sides, just as in the first 2 big wars. I'd chance to say that when this info slips out these days, if intentional, they want to see reactions, see if it's safe to accomplish. If it is real, it deters them which buys the world time. They are smart enough to know that if a healthy, satisfied people are envoked, the may lose. If sleeping, happy people, sick people, revolt, it's not a big deal.

Kind of like Alvin C York done when he took out the nazi units. He shocked by illusions, while he picked off the others from the man closest to him, working his way up to the man beside him who never realized until it was too late, he was beside him and alone.

Perhaps they are testing the waters.

We talk a lot about Zionists and the Vatican and the Illuminati and so on and so forth but I think they can all be categorized as "(1)Evil sects fighting amongst themselves VS. (2)One unified order i.e. EVERYTHING EVER was completely planned"

While I scratch my head routinely to make the theory work, I am a proponent of theory 2, and if theory 2 is at work than the Russians actions would be fuel for the fire to get us all worked up for the false alarm in preparation for the real deal.

I would guess the secret government is

1) Taking out it's enemies one by one (fundamental Islam, socialist countries etc.)
2) Gaining the control of the resources of these countries
3) Making billions of dollars by these wars ("Defense" contractors)

I wonder what they will do with Russia and China, i mean, they're just too big, and both armed to the teeth?
They will probably try to sabotage the economy (biological/germ warfare in China?/secret ops, framed disease) of both, and if they manage to do this, establish the final police/military state, chip everyone and.. lockdown.

Conspiracy Theory Stalks China-US Financial Relations January 25,2008

by CSC staff
As the US subprime crisis has deepened and, since the beginning of this year, begun to affect China’s economy, the Shanghai stock market has slumped while international markets have seen a loss of $7.5 trillion. Is it any surprise that some people, looking over their shoulders, under their beds and behind their doors, begin to wonder whether this isn’t another American conspiracy. Even the odd senior researcher in one or another of China’s most internationalized banks is beginning to cautiously breathe “Conspiracy Theory” to explain the arcane policies of Wall Street, the Federal Reserve and US Treasury. Is it catching?
<div align='left'>There can be little doubt that the this fey mood has been encouraged by the vast and worldwide popularity of The Da Vinci Code, Dan Brown’s conspiracy extravaganza, published in 2003, together with the 2006 movie based on it. Far too many readers actually bought its fanciful premise, despite earnest debunkings from almost every respectable quarter. These days, the subject, at least in China, has changed, and “financial conspiracy theory” and “wars of currencies” are sweeping the nation. </div>

<div align='left'>Much of this stems from a slight work titled Currency Wars, written by Song Hongbin, a Chinese American scholar, published in China by CITIC Press in May, 2007. According to the press, the book has now gone through 10 printings, reaching a total of 600,000 volumes.</div>

<div align='left'>According to Scholar Song in his book, starting in the age of Napoleon, a small group of European bankers began to grow strong, and they gradually gained control of the central banking systems of the UK and the continental countries, later moving across the ocean to America. They played a leading role in setting up a global financial system based on a privately-owned Federal Reserve and international mega-banks. By secretly establishing a wide web of politicians, financiers and media moguls, they grabbed onto huge wealth and are ever working to found a unified global government and currency, which they will, of course, control.</div>

<div align='left'>The stories about the American Civil War, World War I, and World War II, which Mr. Song covers, do not particularly impress Chinese readers as they happened too long ago and too far away. But his explanations of the Japanese economic crisis of the 1990s and Asian financial meltdown in 1997 hit much closer to home. Disaster looms, for it is definite by the end of the book that China is the next target in the currency wars launched by this cabal of wicked international financiers.</div>

<div align='left'>As could be expected, this titanic story set across a panorama of time and space is filling a vacancy, however vacuously, in the minds of a Chinese people largely ignorant of the history of global finance. Universities in China only began to offer courses in western economics and financial theories in the 1990s and very few people are well versed in these fields. Most who read books of this kind have little understanding of economics and finance.</div>

<div align='left'>Currency Wars has become highly popular with that reader on the street who must look for reasons beyond his country’s borders for the macro fluctuations that screw up his life. According to the book, traditional western economic and financial theories are a part of the whole conspiracy. Famous economists, including Keynes, serve the cabal. The book claims that through the influence of icons such as the Nobel Prize for Economics these international bankers have misleadingly transformed true economics, a subject which ought to be “profit” oriented, into a confusing and camouflaging mass of mathematical formulas.</div>

<div align='left'>And as for “profit,” according to Marxist economics, which every Chinese student has drilled into her head, everything that capitalists do is motivated by their desire for the surplus value they alone can capture. This is what it’s all about. The book claims that international bankers will do everything possible, confusing the masses and even launching a war, for the sake of that profit. </div>

<div align='left'>This great conspiracy thinking became very popular in China during 2007. The reasons are manifold. </div>

<div align='left'>First, 2007 was the 10th anniversary of the Great Asian Financial Meltdown, a crisis which still lacks, to the uninformed mind, a reliable explanation. George Soros remains, if not exactly Satan, the Beelzebub of the conspiracy in China. </div>

<div align='left'>Second, with state-owned bank reform in 2004 and RMB exchange rate reform in 2005, China has become more open to international financial forces, and financial security problems have become a hot issue. The selling of shares of state-owned banks to foreign companies, the repugnance to America’s demands for appreciation of RMB, and insufficient confidence in domestic financial institutions all become good soil for financial conspiracy theories to take root. </div>

<div align='left'>Third, the American sub-prime crisis spreading across the world from the second half of 2007 is just too convenient not to be a big part of and the next step in this conspiracy. </div>

<div align='left'>These theories of outsider financial conspiracy greatly affect many Chinese people, ranging from netizens and ordinary people up to top leaders. Many officials even ask their subordinates to read Currency Wars as homework. </div>

<div align='left'>There are those Chinese scholars who have written rebuttals of the book. Fred Hu (Zuliu), general manager of Goldman Sachs in China, issued an article titled An Imaginary Currency War, which brought him huge opprobrium, as his professional position screamed out to many that he was, if not a member of the conspiracy, at least a tool. Others, professors and those familiar with economics and finance, also entered the fray, but each voice was soon engulfed, especially if the writer had had the temerity to have studied abroad.</div>

<div align='left'>Naturally, such disputes have done nothing to dampen sales of the book. </div>

<div align='left'>Conspiracy theories tend to fade as time goes by and nothing further happens, while disputes keep them on the jump. The sub-prime crisis since the second half of 2007 has drawn people’s attention and makes them wonder.</div>

<div align='left'>First of all, the crisis seemed to come from out of the blue, even for Chinese economists. Secondly, for most Chinese it is close to unbelievable that any such event could have so huge an effect as to smite even an economic giant like the US, along with most of the world’s financial markets, even while the Federal Reserve has launched a rare and radical interest rate reduction? Conspiracy theory seems to cover the crisis nicely.</div>

<div align='left'>Leaving out Currency Wars, even some researchers experienced at overseas investment hold similar views. Tan Yaling, global financial market researcher for the Bank of China and well-known analyst in the financial media, published a long article with the title Beware of USD Depreciation and Sub-prime Conspiracy, claiming that China may have entered an American trap. The bank has bought near US$ 8 billion sub-prime mortgage backed securities and related products.</div>

<div align='left'>Tan Yaling believes that the depreciation-appreciation-depreciation process of the dollar is purposely designed. Through the quick depreciation of the dollar, America is able to weaken the Euro area economy, as well as RMB, which may be seen as a threat in the future, and its own double deficit problem can be gradually resolved. As the appreciation range of RMB is smaller than that of the euro, the US manages to create hostility between the euro area and China, so Europe will also pressure China to allow the RMB to appreciate.</div>

<div align='left'>Tan Yaling figures that the US may shift its crisis to developing countries in a strategic way and therefore solve developed countries’ problems by utilizing flaws in developing countries’ financial and market systems.</div>

<div align='left'>If nothing else, disputes over such conspiracy theories bring the processes of China’s opening up of its financial market out into the open. Sufficient debate over this problem may actually help China to realize and participate in the global financial system. </div>

<div align='left'>But for responsible, authoritative, internationally savvy economists to indulge in such claptrap does a disservice to their field and themselves. China’s policy makers must interpret the current complicated issues using the knowledge and the experience they and their international colleagues have hard-won. China’s financial reform and opening up is difficult enough without doubts arising from half-baked best-sellers.</div>

**ALERT** Iran War Preparations?
U.S. heading to war in Iran, says former inspector

<div align='left'>
</div>

<div align='left'>The former chief United Nations weapons inspector and a retired Middle East diplomat recently warned that America was heading straight toward imminent war with Iran.

And while both talked about wrong-headed U.S. policy in Iraq and Iran, they also criticized Israel for its role. </div>
<div align='left'>Scott Ritter, UN weapons inspector in Iraq from 1991 to 1998, and Edward Peck, onetime chief of mission in Baghdad and former ambassador to Mauritania, spoke recently at a forum sponsored by Cleveland Peace Action Now and Trinity Cathedral. Before the event, this reporter and a journalist from The Plain Dealer talked to Ritter and Peck.

The White House is using outright fabrications and exaggerations to persuade the American public that Iran has an active nuclear weapons program, Ritter and Peck claimed. The ultimate goal, they said, is overthrow of Iran's Islamic theocracy.

Just as he did with Iraq, President Bush is falsely positioning Iran as a threat to U.S. national security and a leading sponsor of terrorism, contended Ritter, a 12-year Marine veteran who spent four years in Israel as lead liaison between the UN and the Jewish state on the issues of Iraq and nuclear weapons.

</div>
<div align='left'>By demonizing Iran and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Bush is repeating the failed policy used against Saddam Hussein in Iraq, said Ritter, 46, who resigned under pressure from his UN post in 1998. Ritter claimed he was punished for criticizing the White House's handling of Saddam Hussein. Allegations that he spied for Israel were ultimately dropped following an FBI investigation.

There is an 80% chance of war with Iran, probably in March or April, insisted the impassioned Ritter, who was last in Iran in September 2005. A second window of opportunity for an air assault opens in October or November, he added.

Ritter has been making this prediction of war with Iran for at least three years. Internet research turned up a similar forecast he made in April 2005, insisting an aerial attack on Iran was likely that June.

Israel, according to his 2006 book, is largely responsible for the coming military action. The Jewish Daily Forward reported that in Ritter's Target Iran: The Truth About the White House's Plan for Regime Change, the antiwar activist writes: "Let there be no doubt. If there is an American war with Iran, it is a war that was made in Israel and nowhere else."

The Bush Administration, with the help of the Israeli government and the pro-Israel "Lobby," has exploited the American public's fear of a nuclear-armed Iran, Ritter writes in his book, according to the Forward.

</div>
<div align='left'>The current U.S. military buildup will peak this spring, and Ritter told the CJN that America would begin a 30-day limited, but massive, air strike against Iran. Neither Congress nor the corporate-controlled media will check the president's power, Ritter maintained.

Iran will retaliate with missiles launched at Israel, Ritter predicted. The Islamist state will also shut down oil production by blocking the route out of the Persian Gulf through the Straits of Hormuz. And Iran will unleash Shia Muslims in southern Iraq to target American forces there, Ritter asserted.

"Now we have a major conflict. We're caught in a spiral of events out of our control. After 30 days, the military will be putting Marines in Hormuz, soldiers in Iran. Israel, especially, stands to lose."

In 2002, Ritter similarly talked about the likelihood of America launching a war against Iraq, despite the fact that UN inspectors repeatedly said Saddam Hussein no longer had weapons of mass destruction.

</div>
<div align='left'>At the Cleveland Peace Action event, Peck and Ritter talked about the quagmire in Iraq and the lessons we failed to learn there and apply to Iran. Much of what Ahmadenijad is accused of saying he has never said, Ritter insisted. Furthermore, Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei wields the only power to wage war and build nuclear weapons, not Ahmadenijad.

Sanctions against Iran are "a holding pattern, while revving up for war," claimed Peck. "They are a guarantee of armed conflict." He advocated diplomatic negotiation instead.

When Congress appropriates $77 million to finance dissident groups to overthrow the Iranian regime, "that's an act of war," Peck continued. People in the Middle East "are afraid of us. They do not see us as bringers of truth, justice and harmony."

Forcing democracy on Middle Eastern countries is not possible, Peck warned. "Democracy is experiential. Iraqis know nothing about it. It's something you grow up with." The West pushes democracy and then hypocritically punishes the Palestinians for choosing Hamas in democratic elections, added Peck, who observed the balloting in the West Bank.

</div>
He criticized Israel for occupying the West Bank and for "doing terrible things" there. "One person's terrorist is another's freedom fighter," he said, alluding to suicide bombings targeting Israeli civilians.

Most of those audience members who took the microphone to ask questions bashed Israel for its occupation and brutalization of the Palestinian people. Several blamed Israel for all conflict in the Middle East.

Pursuing its inhumane policy toward the Palestinian people will not bring Israel peace, Peck said. "Israel's security will be derived from good relations with its neighbors. The future of Israel is at stake."

**ALERT** Iran War Preparations?
Quote:Source: U.S. Strike on Iran Nearing

Monday, April 14, 2008 9:37 PM

By: Jim Meyers Article Font Size

Contrary to some claims that the Bush administration will allow diplomacy to handle Iran’s nuclear weapons program, a leading member of America’s Jewish community tells Newsmax that a military strike is not only on the table – but likely.

“Israel is preparing for heavy casualties,” the source said, suggesting that although Israel will not take part in the strike, it is expecting to be the target of Iranian retribution.

“Look at Dick Cheney’s recent trip through the Middle East as preparation for the U.S. attack,” the source said.

Cheney’s hastily arranged 9-day visit to the region, which began on March 16, included stops in Israel, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, Turkey, and the Palestinian territories.

Tensions in the region have been rising.

While Israel was conducting the largest homefront military exercises in its history last week, Israel’s National Infrastructure Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer warned Tehran about expected attacks on the Jewish state.

“An Iranian attack will prompt a severe reaction from Israel, which will destroy the Iranian nation,” he said.

He predicted that in a future war, “hundreds of missiles will rain on Israel,” but added that Iran “is definitely aware of our strength.”

In addition to long-range missiles Iran has been developing to strike Israel, Israel’s military strategists see the Iranians using terror groups they back like Hamas operating from Palestine and Hezbollah from Lebanon to launch attacks.

Iran has supplied Hezbollah with an arsenal that now contains “tens of thousands of missiles,” according to the Washington Post.

Israel’s recent war exercises, including preparations for chemical and biological weapons attacks, drew a sharp response from Syria which held its own military drills. The Syrian government accused Israel of preparing for a war which Damascus predicted would be begin anytime between May 1 and the end of June.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently told foreign journalists that Israel needs to confront the threat posed by Iran. Privately he has been telling associates his number one priority is have the Israeli military strike Iran if the U.S. is unwilling.

The Israeli newspaper Haaretz disclosed that Israel is concerned that North Korea has transferred technology and nuclear materials to Iran to aid Tehran’s secret nuclear weapons program.

Iran remains intransigent to international pressure that it offer full transparency relating to its nuclear program. On Sunday the head of Iran’s nuclear program “abruptly canceled a meeting with the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, dealing a blow to the U.N. monitor's efforts to investigate allegations that Iran tried to make nuclear arms, an agency official said,” according to an AP report.

“But a senior diplomat had told the AP that IAEA [International Atomic Energy Agency] head Mohamed ElBaradei likely planned to use the meeting with Gholam Reza Aghazadeh, the head of Iran's nuclear program, to renew a request for more information on allegations Tehran had tried to make atomic arms.”

A number of signs indicate that, contrary to the belief President Bush is a lame duck who will not act before he leaves office, the U.S. is poised to strike before Iran can acquire nuclear weapons and carry out the threat of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to “wipe Israel off the map”:

# According to intelligence sources, the administration now rejects the National Intelligence Estimate report issued in December that asserted Iran had halted its nuclear weapons program in late 2003.

The French daily Le Monde reported in March that newly surfaced documents show that Iran has continued developing nuclear weapons. In late 2006, U.S. intelligence reportedly intercepted a phone conversation in Iran’s Defense Ministry in which the nuclear weapons program was discussed.

# The commander of U.S. forces in the Middle East, Admiral William Fallon, resigned in March amid media reports that he broke with President Bush’s strategy on Iran and did not want to be in the chain of command when the order comes down from the President to launch a strike on the Islamic Republic.

Democrats suggested he had been forced out because of his candor in opposing Bush’s Iran plans, and Esquire magazine contended that Fallon’s departure signaled that the U.S. is preparing to attack Iran.

# According to a Tehran-based Iranian news network, Press TV, Saudi Arabia is taking emergency steps in preparing to counter any “radioactive hazards” that may result from an American attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

The Saudi newspaper Okaz disclosed that the Saudi government has approved nuclear fallout preparations, and the Iranian network reported that the approval came a day after Cheney met with the kingdom’s high-ranking officials, further stating that the U.S. “is now informing its Arab allies of a potential war.”

# The American commander in Iraq, Gen. David Petraeus, has stepped up criticism of Iran, telling Congress last week that Iranian support for Shiite militias posed the most serious threat to Iraq’s stability. He told senators : “Iran has fueled the violence in a particularly damaging way.” Last week, the U.S. said Iran was providing insurgents with missiles that were killing Americans and hitting targets within the U.S. occupied Green Zone in Baghdad.

MSNBC Commentator Pat Buchanan said Petraeus’ remarks to Congress lay the groundwork for a U.S. attack on Iran.

# President Bush said in a speech at the White House on April 10 that Iran, along with al-Qaida, are “two of the greatest threats to America.”

He said Iran “can live in peace with its neighbors,” or “continue to arm and train and fund illegal militant groups which are terrorizing the Iraqi people … If Iran makes the wrong choice, America will act to protect our interests and our troops and our Iraqi partners.”

He later told ABC News that if Iran continues to help militants in Iraq, “then we’ll deal with them.”

Members of Congress are said to have been briefed by the administration about the rising Iran threat.

Iran did little to cool tensions when it announced that it had begun installing 6,000 new centrifuges at its uranium enrichment plant in Natanz.

Centrifuges can enrich uranium to a low level to produce nuclear fuel or a high level for use in weapons.

The announcement of the new centrifuges by President Ahmadinejad came on April 8, Iran’s National Day of Nuclear Technology, which marked the second anniversary of Iran’s first enrichment of uranium.

Iran already has about 3,000 centrifuges operating in Natanz, and the new announcement was widely seen as a show of defiance to international demands to halt a nuclear program that the U.S. and its allies insist is aimed at building nuclear weapons.
