Does this lead to less Police on the streets?

Who would want to sign up and be chipped?

Less Police means more reason to chip everyone. The plan is clear it seems.

Although the trend is certainly leading towards 'chipping' I do not think the mail report is accurate in this respect. When you say chipping I think of microchipping, as in subdermal chipping. The Daily Telegraph talks of 'tagging' Or maybe I'm just splitting hairs?

I think the Mail and other sources have jumped on this too fast and given too much amunition to the 'eye rolling' sheeple. Tagging in the UK is done by external chips placed in worn objects.

Although this new plan may still be an unwelcome development (depending on how it is used - the exact plans are hush hush still) I think it is more likely that chips will be incorporated into existing radio equipment etc.

I left a comment to the editorial earlier in the day and of course it wasn't posted. I basically said it was just one step in the process to eventually chip everyone. It would be hard to believe if people can't see it moving in that direction, but I'm sure there are a few stragglers who think this is just the greatest thing...:confused:

Its certainly going to lead to a more brutal privatized police force
because your average copper wont want to be chipped unless he is a total
