Amazing stuff, never truely believed it was possible. What is it thats falling, some kind of placards? Anyway I sometimes practice sucking in the flow of energy through my body and then releasing it through my hands, but im not sure if they move the placards with energy or what. I want to practice this, if anyone knows any real truthful psy sites on telekinesis, please let me know. shZ - Minimal Tech Session v2.3 Style: Minimal, Techno, Tech House, Progressive House Download link: Minimal Tech Sessions v2.3 shZ - Minimal Tech Session v1.3 / The Journey to Here Style: Minimal, Techno, Tech House, Breaks / Progressive House, Minimal Tech House Download link: Minimal Tech Sessions v1.3 / The Journey to Here shZ - Lucid Perceptions (A New Beggining) / Psy Eclipse Style: Trance, Progressive Trance/House, Breaks / Psy Trance, Goa Trance, Trance Download link: Lucid Perceptions (A New Beggining) / Psy Eclipse |

Quote:Intentions don't matter that much eventually imo. I created a myspace account to keep my mix links active, that's all. Megaupload links expire if there's no activity. If I had the money to pay for webhosting and the motivation to actually pay for keeping them up, I would. Yes, most music is crap regardless of genre.Quote:Steer clear of the 'esoteric,' especially keeping the implication of your comments in mind. shZ - Minimal Tech Session v2.3 Style: Minimal, Techno, Tech House, Progressive House Download link: Minimal Tech Sessions v2.3 shZ - Minimal Tech Session v1.3 / The Journey to Here Style: Minimal, Techno, Tech House, Breaks / Progressive House, Minimal Tech House Download link: Minimal Tech Sessions v1.3 / The Journey to Here shZ - Lucid Perceptions (A New Beggining) / Psy Eclipse Style: Trance, Progressive Trance/House, Breaks / Psy Trance, Goa Trance, Trance Download link: Lucid Perceptions (A New Beggining) / Psy Eclipse |

Hey Buddy I just did something really DANGEROUS. I googled "mayo clinic and chunyi lin"
Bleed on brain stem completely healed Sue Sivula of Maple Grove, Minnesota, had a bleed on the brain stem, which among other things, caused her eyes not to turn when she turned her head. The neurosurgeon at the Hospital and the renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, wanted to operate, but not Sue. After two visits with Master Chunyi Lin, the problem was completely gone. The neurosurgeon compared the before MRI with the after MRI and could only see a tiny residue. Sue practices Qigong on most days for two thirty-minute sessions. "The ongoing benefits I receive far exceed any effort I must do in practicing Qigong," she says. Sue Sivula Dr. Neil Kay, Mayo Clinic cancer researcher ALSO recommends qigong master Chunyi Lin. Mayo Cinic oncologist Dr. Nina Mishek just co-authored a qigong chapter with Chunyi Lin for a Mayo Clinic medical textbook. http://springforestqigong.com Looks like you got all the proof you need Buddy! The Mayo Cinic is the TOP medical hospital in the world. |

Just a friendly reminder, drew. You already posted this in another topic. No need for multiple copies;)
One day Chuang Tzu and a friend were walking by a river. &Look at the fish swimming about,& said Chuang Tzu, &They are really enjoying themselves.& &You are not a fish,& replied the friend, &So you can't truly know that they are enjoying themselves.& &You are not me,& said Chuang Tzu. &So how do you know that I do not know that the fish are enjoying themselves?& |

Magic, psychic abilities, OBEs, real or not?
Quote:My bad, I actually didn't watch the video that Drew posted. I now see it's totally unrelated to "magic." Chi is not magic, although you can do some pretty interesting things with it. That is by far the most unusual demonstration I've ever seen, assuming it is genuine ofcourse. The reason why I'm not such a skeptic anymore is because I've seen some martial arts masters do some truly spectacular stuff. I had a friend back in the dorm who used to train at the Shaolin Temple and he recorded some pretty insane shit like iron shirt and iron head.Quote:Steer clear of the 'esoteric,' especially keeping the implication of your comments in mind. shZ - Minimal Tech Session v2.3 Style: Minimal, Techno, Tech House, Progressive House Download link: Minimal Tech Sessions v2.3 shZ - Minimal Tech Session v1.3 / The Journey to Here Style: Minimal, Techno, Tech House, Breaks / Progressive House, Minimal Tech House Download link: Minimal Tech Sessions v1.3 / The Journey to Here shZ - Lucid Perceptions (A New Beggining) / Psy Eclipse Style: Trance, Progressive Trance/House, Breaks / Psy Trance, Goa Trance, Trance Download link: Lucid Perceptions (A New Beggining) / Psy Eclipse |

Quote:Here -- read this book - this has all the details you need. It's excellent.Drew, I've got a quick question for you. Do you think, regardless of how challenging the circumstances or miserable one might be, qi gong and meditation will actually make a significant positive impact... or at least have a kind of catalyzing effect on progression out of such a state? I know the question is kind of broad. I guess what I'm really asking is, assuming one's never really practiced a soft form of martial arts, let alone anything more sophisticated involving chi, is it worth the effort? Depending on the style, hard forms of martial arts can be near impossible to master unless you start at a young age. Obviously, in the case of hard forms, much of it is physical conditioning and making routines second nature etc. I don't know if that even applies to soft forms, or meditation and chi in particular. shZ - Minimal Tech Session v2.3 Style: Minimal, Techno, Tech House, Progressive House Download link: Minimal Tech Sessions v2.3 shZ - Minimal Tech Session v1.3 / The Journey to Here Style: Minimal, Techno, Tech House, Breaks / Progressive House, Minimal Tech House Download link: Minimal Tech Sessions v1.3 / The Journey to Here shZ - Lucid Perceptions (A New Beggining) / Psy Eclipse Style: Trance, Progressive Trance/House, Breaks / Psy Trance, Goa Trance, Trance Download link: Lucid Perceptions (A New Beggining) / Psy Eclipse |

I train in yoga, tai chi and boxing, and I have begun training to run a marathon. I still have a huge weakness in my grappling skills and I would like to spend more time weight training. In my opinion it's about diversity. There's no way to be the toughest guy on the street, especially when you are 5' 8". Even with all my training the average club bouncer would still rip me apart because he's just twice my size. That said I still practice 'hard body' training and qigong. I would say it's absolutely worth it. I just try not to take a modern day capitalist approach to the concept of 'is it worth it?'. You won't see results in the first week, or even month, but in a year, two years, five, ten. It becomes something else entirely. My goals are all for when I'm 35, 40, 45. Martial arts are not short term investments. I practice palm strike breaks every day. This is my training method. It's cheap and easy. I invented it in university. Take a water bottle and fill it partly with water and put it in the freezer on it's side. After it freezes you'll be left with a rod of ice inside the bottle. You can then punch, hammerfist, or palm strike the ice. If you're going to punch it make the ice very thin. You'll be surprised how hard that shit gets. I can honestly say after a few years of busting ice my strikes are pretty strong. I used to practice with wood but it just isn't practical. More to your question, do I believe qigong and tai chi will have a positive impact on your emotional state. For fuck's sake yes. Taiji, (tai chi), means 'ultimate and infinite potentiality." It really is the ultimate exercise. Tai chi appears so simple, yet belies a sophisticated and complete optimization of the body. The movements stimulate the joints, the breathing flushes toxin from the blood, the spine is gently twisted and stretched releasing stem cell rich spinal fluid from the spinal cord into the body, rejuvinating it. In addition, qi is circulated and filtered, cleansing the energy body as well as the physical body. You'll be the most flexible you've ever been, the most energetic, the most powerful, and if you learn it from a quality martial artist instead of just as an exercise, though both are good, you will be a sophisticated and complex fighter. My only wish is I could have discovered tai chi ten or even years earlier. &We grow to recognize form. We grow to label that form. In doing so, do we become more intelligent? Do we become more awakened?& - Siji Tzu 四季子 |

Quote:Although you wandered slighty "off topic" initially, I enjoyed reading your whole post nonetheless having practiced martial arts on and off and my interest returning in a more serious way again . Which is why I want to switch to Wing Tsun for combat purposes. I too wish I had discovered kung fu when I was far younger and my body was still in developmental phases. I certainly value your input and respect your opinon, including your comments on qi gong. As much as I may come across as a rationalist prick at times, I'm quite open to ancient wisdom and esoteric practices of the like that are sadly fading away from cultures it's been a part of for centuries... like kung fu in all it's variations (especially the soft forms) and alternative healing etc.Quote:I think martial arts need to enter a second stage of thinking more in line with our modern society.
