I remember watching this when it was first aired on BBC television in 2002. So much for "News you won't find on CNN". :laugh:

The programmes were really interesting and informative.

I managed to download all the series he has made from torrent sites, so maybe it'd be worth checking them so you don't have to wait for informationclearinghouse.com to host them.

His newest series The Trap is particularly good!! Also worth looking out is his 5 minute film clip (first shown on Charlie Brookers Screenwipe on BBC3) about TV journalism, it might still be on Youtube for those interested.

Thanks. I checked it out. I think I have seen the Trap, maybe even burnt it on DVD before I crashed somewhere. Did they have stuff like this on CNN? No, they don't put anything of value on American news. That is a BBC doc though and even though
BBC is mostly propaganda it is less controlled than America.

I found Adam Curtis stuff very good,and because its mainstream BBC people WILL listen to it,like they did listen to al gore.

The power of nightmares is good also. The mayfair set looked interesting but Ive never looked into it.

I think Ed Griffin stuff is always a good start. [inflation,income tax the perfect tax,freedom force,capitalist conspiracy,plus all the interviews around]

This is almost on par with Manufacturing Consent, saw it a while ago. Excellent documentary that I highly recommend.

Manufacturing consent should be required watching for 15-16 yr olds, especially the first hour.

When I try to explain how advertising works and that it is possible to manipulate the masses and relitively easily, most people dismiss it.
This is proven science, our mindset as a society is manipulated by the media, and without watching something like this, it is hard to comprehend how.
