Rabbi Judah Loew's postage stamp




Czechoslovakia has issued a postage stamp to commemorate the life and teachings of the "Maharal," Rabbi Judah Loew, an occultist who, in Judaic legend, created a "golem" -- a soulless gentile monster-slave who was employed to kill Catholic priests (see Judaism Discovered pp. 802-817), and anyone else who thwarted Judaism's purposes.


Furthermore, Czechoslovakia is sponsoring an official conference in honor of Rabbi Loew in Prague on Sept. 7. Details are here.


In the 16th century, Dr. John Dee, Queen Elizabeth I's astrologer royal, is said to have pledged to Rabbi Loew, the nation of England to the service of Judaism (cf. our lecture recorded on CD: "Magic and Paganism in the Reign of Elizabeth I").
