I'm open to the idea that some kind of sasquatch-like creature may exist, but this story is little more than a hoax to make money.

It is the Minnesota Iceman. http://paranormal.about.com/od/othercreatu...sota-Iceman.htm
![]() http://www.weird-encyclopedia.com/Minnesota-iceman.php One of my friends saw the "iceman" at a fair in the mid 70's here in TN. It made a very strong impression on him and he remembers it very vividly to this day. Lloyd Pye has some very interesting things to say about the fossil records, anatomical differences and genetic differences between these Hominoids and Homo Sapiens. His supposition is that all of the supposed "pre-humans" are actually ancestors of these guys and not us. After looking at all of the skeletal differences and over the time frames they are supposed to have occurred, I've got to say he has some very compelling evidence to support this. “Today’s scientists have substituted mathematics for experiments, and they wander off through equation after equation, and eventually build a structure which has no relation to reality. ” -Nikola Tesla "When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace." -Jimi Hendrix |

Thanks for that, Roseberry. Sounds like these hoaxers got the idea from the "Iceman" being stored in the freezer.
So as far as the actual Iceman is concerned, I am relaying info from a friend as it was his experience from the early to mid 70's. He doesn't remember the exact date as he would have been pretty young at the time. The things that he recalls were the things like the damage that the gunshot wounds caused. The hole in the left hand and then the huge hole in the right eye socket were leaking plasma and some blood that had tendrils rising to the surface of the ice and pooled there. He remarked on how coarse the hair of the creature was and how thick it was and even then it had the appearance of waving in the water before it froze. He thought of how much it looked like a persons hair when they were under water. He also said that you could see where the hair was in the follicles in the skin. He remembers how you could see muscles texture under the skin at some places. We were watching "All You Know Is Wrong" and Pye brought up the picture and my friend sat bolt upright and said "I've seen that!" So we paused the doc and I got him to relay the story to me like I wrote above. we then watched it and Pye mentioned all the things my friend remembered and then a few more. It was very interesting that I knew someone that had firsthand experience of that creature. “Today’s scientists have substituted mathematics for experiments, and they wander off through equation after equation, and eventually build a structure which has no relation to reality. ” -Nikola Tesla "When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace." -Jimi Hendrix |

Indeed Lloyd Pye is probably the best equipped person to comment on this area... Intervention theory is where it is at. "We are just glorified monkeys in suits.... show me where it's written we should be able to model the cosmos?!" -Terence McKenna, 21st Century Bard R.I.P-ranks Terence. I miss your take on life. =-= |
