But I've been away for a while, came back after getting the "tracker moved"
mail, and gather there's been a rototilling. Can someone fill me in on the
short, factual, and relatively unopinionated version?

And does anyone have a new/current email address for Mike? He's been
excised from both the tracker and forum, and his hotmail address isn't working
either.

Honest, I'm not looking for flames, just to get caught up.

Theres no dispute, Mike decided to leave all of a sudden without giving the members a reason (the admins might know) and he took the name and domain "conspiracycentral" for himself. So Yeti and the admins changed it to ConCen and some previous rules have been lifted. Thats about it.

Okay, thanks. I don't know whether anyone else has more intimate knowledge
of his situation, but when we met he wasn't working and was pretty cash-strapped,
so it wouldn't surprise me if the strain of the continued obligation in keeping the
site running just got to be too much for him.

If anyone has a current/working email address for him, I'd really appreciate
receiving it by pm/email. I'd like to check in with him, get together again for a
beer, and collect a book I loaned him last time.

Great - thanks very much. I tried searching for "ctrl is gone", but all I got was bitched out by the search function
for entering too-short strings.

The racial separation thing is a little disconcerting, but yes, it's in the spirit of friendship, so I'll try to get together
with him again and see what's up.

(A moment later) Bummer - that's the old address I had for him, and it's bouncing mail. Might have to drop over
to his place and see if he's still around.
