where Colin Powell has a slip up an says something about a catastrophy that will arrive come february 2009

If you mean the Meet the Press interview, then yes I've seen it and he says January 21st or 22nd. Conspiracy? Predictive programming? In this case probably not. People are making a huge deal out of this but it isn't really anything at all. He was using the dates he did because they are Obama's first two full days in office (with his inauguration the 20th.) He was saying merely that Obama is going to be in crisis mode as President from the get go.

Kind of curious though , that he can put it that way in words that convey certainty

"there's gonna be a crisis come along in january that we don't know about now"

seems more like he knows for sure.

Anything is possible, but I do agree with this assesment. I figure it was more meant to mean he would be very busy come day one.
