Trying GOOGLE Chrome

May I interject something froma prefvious post about Chrome:

They don't need to hide that shit anymore, they just announce it to you. If people would actually care about their privacy, the internet explorer would not be the number one browser, and Windows not the No.1 OS.

Btw. the Mozilla foundation is actually funded by Google for the most part. Keep that in mind.

Open Source also means that anyone can take the source code and make his own version of the browser without all the spy code and then release it browser as Open Source also. At that point Google's browser should already be positioned in the market.

What will Microsoft do? They'll try and copy the concepts of the Gbrowser which (except for the spy part) could actually lead to a good thing. There's only one problem though. The Internet Explorer comes with the operating system, bundled with Windows, and how could anyone ever compete with that advantage?

1. Having a much better product than the competitor is not enough. We have seen that a couple of times.

2. You need a product that is generations ahead of the competition. Google could actually manage to do that. If Microsoft could, they would have, years ago.

3. Google does not have the default OS, but it is the default search engine. Just like your flash-plugin installs itself with one click, google could actually send the GBrowser to you the first time you visit Google. And if your computer is online, you will visit Google, that's for sure.

4. Just like Firefox, the GBrowser could run on Linux and Mac machines.

So, do I trust Google? No. Do I trust Microsoft? No. Do I trust Mozilla? Can something good come from all of this? Yes, a better browser. I could use one of those.

The price you pay?

Well that's easy. If you are going to start using the new browser from now on, Google / CIA have access to everything you do with your computer. It's like a pact with the devil. In the end, he always comes and collects his price. But if you are patient, you might get lucky and get a better browser with all the spy features removed. Unless your country makes up a new law that requires you to use a "secure" browser, meaning, a browser they can track.

Update since when I wrote above rant: The Google Chrome browser is automatically being installed when installing any Google app.

I was at a friend's house and installed Google Earth. Then I looked into the system settings -> software: Look what I found! A freshly installed Google Chrome. Isn't that real special!

That must be the latest versions as I have one that is a little bit older, Pro & cracked version, and I don't have any Chrome settings on my machine. ...but there are always registry editors to at least try to get rid of any unwanted extras.

Yeah, there is software you can use for tracking changes in your registry, but that is only one problem with the system concept, and there are many more (and of course ways to fix them) but if you have THAT kind of time on your hands you might as well check out Linux.

The easiest and fastest registry cleaner/editor/defrag etc. is RegOrganizer. It's very quick and easy to keep control of the registry and Keys without having to futz with everything manually. Search features are included as well a few other utilities.
But yes, I use Linux as well. hehe

Try 'SRware IRON', its chome from source (chronium) without the google tracking, updates and such.

It also has ad-blocking.
