Is there anybody on here from Scotland who is interested in collaborating on creative projects; video, music, print or anything else?

I'm dying of frustration having skills and equipment but needing other folk to work with.

I have full HD camera, lighting, audio gear, screens; guitars, drums, keyboard and more. I don't want to list everything because I'm not boasting - but I'd like to be using it to wake people up in some creative way.

Interesting sites.

You have lots of equipment and with the internet and sites like dropbox we now have the ability to work together 1,000s of kms apart.

I put together some tunes with an eye towards creating a Conspiracy Central song. All I need is the melody and the lyrics to go along with any of these tunes. Check them out here https://www.dropbox.com/home/Public/ConC...0icosaface
Please ignore the titles, the lyrics would dictate the title. I am still working on a working understanding of how to write songs

I take it that you want to work face to face with collaborators rather than virtually face to face.

An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it.

RE: Scotland - anybody on here want to collaborate on creative projects?
Hi,

Well, yes, I'd prefer to work face-to-face because that's the best way to jam ideas, really. The internet, with all its advantages, does not come close to matching the nuance of human contact.

I have tried and made contributions to a couple of projects but it seems too easy for people to lose interest and drop off the radar when there is no personal contact. And there seems to be something subtly transhumanist about working virtually. I'd rather ideas come from long rambling conversations.

I don't mean anything disrespectful but I want to preserve some tangibility. And there is something of the destruction of local community which is fundamental to the agenda of those we would defeat.

Call me a Luddite if you like, but I use Logic and Final Cut... Icon_wink

I did try to look at your link but it requires a login.

We are a group of musicians and artists and filmakers who have formed a studio/gallery in Dunfermline, Fife. We are always looking to find more creative people to join our wee thang. We are starting up a radio station and have some film and documentary projects in the works. If you are interested in finding out more about us and what we do, let me know, we would love to add you to our growing ranks. We are trying to wake people up creatively, just like you want to and the more talented and interesting people we have around the better. Hope to hear from you buddy.

Thanks for the offer but I'm trying to hook up with people to work with locally.

I've also worked as graphic designer for 20+ years myself.

But I'm beginning to think that in this internet age people are actually scared of meeting other people face to face. I think there has to be some irony there - especially given the reliance placed on the internet and the consequences of a shut down should the shit hit the fan.

well, if you're killgore trout, it doesn't really matter when and where you are, you'll just conglomerate the naratives and condense them into a Hustler article, right? Screw the contemporary calender system!
