Looking for ancient engraving of a "gigantic number" that correlates to procession
Figured this'd be a better forum to ask in.
I remember reading in a book (though I can NOT remember which one) of an inscription (I believe in the Americas) of a HUGE number, i.e. so big it would have no actual use in a culture of the time period, that when deciphered and messed with is actually a reference to the 25,000+ year cycle of procession. Anyone know what I'm talking about? |

Quote:Figured this'd be a better forum to ask in. Procession - (via Middle English processioun, French procession, derived from Latin, processio, itself from procedere, to go forth, advance, proceed) is, in general, an organized body of people advancing in a formal or ceremonial manner. OR Precession - the movement of the rotational axis of a body, such as a planet, with respect to inertial space. In particular, it refers to the precession of the Earth's rotational axis, formerly called the precession of the equinoxes but since 2003 the "precession of the equator". ??? “Anyone who thinks the LHC will destroy the world is a twat.” - Professor Brian Cox. |
