Anyone been to the Virgin Islands?
Not quite sure this is the right section of the forum, but...
Has anyone ever been to the US Virgin Islands, and, if so, what did you think? I am most likely getting out of mainland USA, and was heavily considering the Virgin Islands, specifically St. Croix and St. Thomas. If you have ever been there, or have any information to share about them (or other wonderful islands near or below the equator) please share! Oh, and for those stand your ground fight for saving your country types... Hey, that is cool, but I really hate being fairly downwind of Fukushima, especially with reactor four. RE: Anyone been to the Virgin Islands?
Ive been to St. Thomas. I was on vacation about 4-5 years ago. A beautiful island, no doubt but its still U.S. territory, just saying.
Im sure its better than being near Fukishima. Not too sure about the economical situation over there but I saw a lot of poor folks struggling to survive off the tourist trade there. The water situation is a little bit of a problem too. Not much of it, unless you have the big bucks to have it trucked in, that doesnt count the purifying it and so on. Most people use what they catch on their roofs for showering and consumption, but its not very much that winds up collecting over there since its so hot. Some of the most beautiful beaches in the world tho imo. "Listen to everyone, read everything, believe nothing unless you can prove it in your own research" ~William Cooper DTTNWO! |

RE: Anyone been to the Virgin Islands?
Yeah, it is US. I would go to another country, but I figured since I do not have much, it would be better for me to go somewhere where I could "branch" into another country (think south America) such as Argentina, and go from there. Another reason is the lack of having everything I own taxed on entry, having to get employment visas, et cetera. Thanks for the imput, though.
