‘Not a country’: ICC blocks Palestine war crimes probe
Quote:The ICC has refused Palestine’s bid for an investigation into the Israeli military offensive on the Gaza strip on the basis that Palestine is not a recognized state. Human rights groups have strongly criticized the move, while Israel has praised it. http://rt.com/news/international-court-gaza-war-211/ The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. RE: ‘Not a country’: ICC blocks Palestine war crimes probe
Quote:Over 130 governments have supported Palestine’s status as an independent state, but the General Assembly still classifies the Palestine Liberation Organization as an observer state, as opposed to a non-member state. The PLO is not and never was a state! This is a straw man argument meant to deny justice to over a million people. Using that logic Canada could be refused recognition as a state because the FLQ is not recognised as a government by the UN.
