Why do people still use YouTube?

I hate google. You'd think that someone would have come up with a search engine just as good by now that does not collect info. The only one I know of is duckduckgo.

As I check infowars everyday I notice that every single video they have has a YouTube logo on it. If jones hates YouTube so much why use them? I get it, get the content out there to millions of people, use YouTube against themselves, but with all the money that he has he could have a server to host his videos with plenty of bandwidth for his audience.
