Why do people still use YouTube?
I want to know why people whom are awake and aware of dangerous companies like google still use and support YouTube. Maybe it's just me but if I don't like a company I try at all costs not to use them, buy from them or promote their product.

Take for example running shoes. In my opinion Nike shoes are junk, their arch support has been missing for decades and their shoes are made in china sweat shops.

How many American [idiots] will you hear complaining about our economy, about how there are no jobs, yet they buy from companies that outsource their labor to china? I try to buy shoes made in the usa but its difficult to do being that so much stuff is outsourced nowadays, I guess Americans are above manufacturing. Or they can't compete with Chinese people who are willing to be .50 an hour slaves. For running shoes i recommend new balance. They are superior in comfort to nike (my opinion i know) and they are made in the USA. Getting a bit ot here so back to YouTube.

Rewind to circa 2004. I remember going out with my car friends on the weekend looking for races (and hos) my old canon point and shoot camera in hand. Never mind that the camera wasn't meant for taking video, it was probably something like a 1.2 megapixel haha. Anyway, after a night of beating down government motors "muscle" cars (remember those vehicles that no one wanted because they were made out of legos and garage scrap parts thus the reason they needed a tyrannical government to force taxpayers to save their inept irresponsible asses) in our ricer imports, I remember the thing that bugged me the most the next day was trying to find a host for my video footage so i could share the night before's kills. Usually I ended up emailing the video to someone who would host it on their server and as long as it didn't make it around to too many forums their bandwidth would hold up.

Eventually more and more people created their own websites and hosted their own videos.

Fast forward to 2010ish and YouTube is now the epicenter of video uploads. Seems like very few people ever host their own videos anymore on their site with their provider. Everyone runs straight to YouTube like blind sheep to upload their footage.

Why have Americans become so narrow minded? Is it because they are cheap? What does it cost to upload a video to YouTube? Nothing, except a bit of privacy I guess. Or a little loss of liberty. Last I checked YouTube requires users to sign up with gmail and link it to the YouTube account.

Why do we see so few videos today without the youtube logo on them? Nest time you watch a video on the Internet, take a look at where it's hosted. Americans could choose to boycott YouTube by uploading their video elsewhere but alas they are either too cheap, or too lazy.

Such is the story with everything it seems. Americans could easily fight back against corporations by not supporting them, not buying their products, but they choose not to and continue to support the very corporations that they claim to hate.
