I am releasing a Torrent right now and its showing 0 seeders. why?

External trackers (and the http://concen.org:6969/announce public tracker URL I think) do not update the seeder tally on the site, hence the button.

yes i just needed to w8 now it shows me. this is the first torrent i ever released

sadly i am here in germany and i have max upload 70kbs and its 21 GB. Should i used "Initial Seeding" in utorrent?

"Initial Seeding" makes sure the pieces are verified so you don't get erroneous upstream data. I find it slows down the upload speed a LOT though.

Your upload speed is better than mine. For best results only seed the one torrent and no other torrents until seeders > leechers at least.

The public ConCen URLs update with the website on a different timeline than the private URL, hence the lag. I think.

When uploading an external torrent, it can take up to 5 minutes before the tracker recognizes your torrent. This is because all the authorized torrents are stored in a file which the tracker reads into memory every 5 minutes.

from what i understand by having scanned over http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super-seeding (utorrent just calls it initial seeding right?) i am giving more upload speed to people who seed well. so i am not wasting upload to ppl who are just leeching and giving not much back to the other peers.

i have it enabled and max upload all the time ppl actaully downloading it

I know there is the well seeded alex jones everything special untouched torrent but why download 95 GB when you can have the same quality with 20 GB.

Already send 1,5 / 20,1 its faster then i taught. I hope everyone stays in for some days to get 100%.

The bittorrent standard already takes data corruption into account though. Each chunk has a checksum which if shows an error automatically requests that the chunk be resent.

I'm assuming here that "initial seeding" is a synonym for super seeding. I could be wrong.

AFAIK super seeding is an algorithm that tries to pass out each chunk as few times as possible. It ignores requests for a chunk which has already been uploaded in favour of one that hasn't been uploaded already. The idea is to get a complete copy of the data into the swarm ASAP.

Yeah that's what it is. Whatever the case, for me anyways, after multiple trials, it is much slower for me when I up while having the Initial Seeding flag checked.
