The only carcinogens in cannabis are the ones in smoke. There are none in the plant itself and it's actually proven that cannabinoids kill cancer cells but the government keeps this fact secret. I would be very reluctant to take isolated synthetic cannabinoids, the effects would be unpredictable. Cannabis contains roughly 60 or so cannabinoids in the plant and they are synergistic, as nature intended. Taking straight THC could cause some very profound anxiety attacks (with CBD in Cannabis counteracts, with good reason). I wouldn't take any THC pills created by big pharma, the plant should be legalized as it's a harmless substance and comes from the Earth. Banning natural substances makes absolutely no sense to me.

I'd ban arsenic and cyanide in certain situations but really a ban on anything requires oversight and enforcement (see Big Brother and his even Bigger Mother). So we have two choices and everywhere in between ultimately.

Well it's both. Regulate the people and Deregulate the cronies aka Corporate Banker / So called 'Elite' / New Age Royalty / 'Expert' Run fascist rule to control competition, production and distribution in a managed world where all rules apply to the many and none apply to the few by Man's Law, Mind Control, Force and the Illusion of Power (currency, government, religion, authority..).

The people, generally speaking, need to grow a moral backbone built on common respect and accept personal responsibility for anything other than this outcome to rear it's ugly head. Anything less will allow this new age government/corporate creature to dominate. It has been given too much power by too many people for way too long. So long in fact that real freedom is a concept that many can hardly fathom in any tangible thought anymore.
