Hey Inheritor I went to Art Basel 2010, you would have FREAKED!
I gotta figure out a way of sharing some of my favorite pieces with you. Saw some fucking AMAZING shit like a 20 million dollar Mark Rothko piece.
Hey I uploaded my Iphone Pics of Art Basel, These were some of favorites. This is my sorta taste I am really into conceptual and minimalist art. Don't miss the Yoko Ono piece it kicks ASS! : ))) my photo stream http://www.flickr.com/photos/57173845@N07/ In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal. As a reputed atheist, the reverential nature of his film was surprising, but Pasolini himself said &If you know that I am an unbeliever, then you know me better than I do myself. I may be an unbeliever, but I am an unbeliever who has a nostalgia for a belief.&

RE: Hey Inheritor I went to Art Basel 2010, you would have FREAKED!
OH Weyland !!
![]() If I took all the time and energy I spend here..... and instead focused solely on being an artist... I wonder what I could accomplish. It eats at me. I think it's awesome that you thought of me at such an amazing place! My uncle wants us to move down by him, to the Delray/Boca area so I could get in on the local art scene there. It may be something I end up trying in the future. ![]() I've spent HOURS clicking through "Art Basel" images, sites, and links. ![]() I wonder what it co$ts to even apply to the exhibition...... though my pieces don't fall under a modern contemporary category. Check out this chick's work.... looks like this was from 09 .... and one of the links isn't art basel, but I COULD SO DO THIS.... ~ Sara Landau - Art Basel 09 ~ http://www.naplesnews.com/photos/galleri...009/92133/ ~ Sara Landau pieces.... http://www.artnet.com/magazine/reviews/w...12-3-3.asp Looks similarly, IMO.... to what I'm doing now..... but on a much smaller level. I spent ALL of last January doing this... and as January sneaks up on us again... I wonder what I will do this time. Hopefully I don't waste too much time here, concerned over my bickering friends in conspiracy land..... Remember this one Weyland ? I CAN'T LOOK AT THIS DRAWING.... WITHOUT THINKING OF YOU !!! When I see that one... "Weyland" is what I think of !!! Hope you know that! Same goes for ALL of the rest of the drawings or paintings that I made for people here. MothandRust's is my new strategic luck logo .... never to be sold. ![]() Thanks for posting this for me. Sharing those pictures you took was great, and I'm so glad you did it!! Don't you forget me Weyland! The Anthem |

Oh I am so HAPPY you dug this April : ). Sometimes I wish I could have gone to art school, I would have been in the scene by now doing crazy shit. When I went to Basel it was so big I hardly had to time to think. And I went two days in a row. Seriously next year I am buying the whole weekend pass. You know your uncle is right Delray is definitely happening. You should come down and try it sometime. Yeah I still have The Beautiful Dreamer and even the Don't Be Sad Weyland marker drawing, I used to keep it on Iphone Screen lol! Thanks those were beautiful! Sara Landaus work kinda reminds me of Alex Katz work a lot.

Think about how many great artists (painting, sculpture, drawings, music, etc.) that **thrived** during the Great Depression ... ... on all continents. Also consider re-locating to the Western United States, i.e., Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, California. Talent is the ticket ... ... and you have that "in spades". ![]() Forget the chores ... ![]() ... be happy--pursue your dreams !!
