The Future Establishment : No man is an Island
The purpose of this pamphlet started on 11-10-10 is to determine how we, as the next generation will carry ourselves in the fields of labor, the arts, jurisprudence, public works projects and government.
Labor 1. Remembering just whose shoulders we are standing on: that of our fathers, and our grand fathers. 2. Labor relations including the reinvigoration of strong unions. 3. Consolidating the gap between workers and management. 4. Putting a premium on innovation in the information age. The Arts 1. Using the arts not only as a form of entertainment but to keep people informed. 2. Taking the media and the first amendment back from the corporations. 3. More creative ways of corporate sabotage including effective nationwide boycotts. *This can be incredibly effective at massive public opinion changes for ex. drug decriminalization, getting out of the war, united front against job relocation and globalization in general.* 4. Grants should be awarded to artists on the basis of the message they are trying to convey to the public and the impact their work has on the community in which they live. The Law 1. The peoples law is just that, it and every public institution stemming from it belongs to the people and not to the oligarchy. 2. Law organizations need to be retooled so that we the people can use the law as it was meant to be used, in defense of the public interest. 3. Armies of lawyers defending the people in large human rights cases have not been seen since the iconic civil rights days. 4. Judges who have a history of being pro human rights ie. against the death penalty, against torture should be elevated in the eyes of the people. 5. Corporations, big and small should be studied to ascertain whether their contributions to society are advantageous to the growth of the communites in which they are chartered or if they are doing more harm then good. Public Works Projects and Government 1. War should not be the only catalyst to resuscitate the economy, creative people working in city halls and in state legislatures nationwide should be utilized to acquire the funding for public works projects. 2. A New Deal on the local level can be pushed through with the aid of ballott initiatives and public relations campaigns all for the benefit of getting people working again. ' 3. New blood ( candidates, political parties) needs to be injected into the machine (city councils, state legislatures, school boards, congress) to make the elected officials remember that as public servants they serve solely at the will and discretion of the people. 4. Campaign finance laws need reformed so as to quash the undue influence money has on all aspects of the political spectrum. Challenges 1. Seeing disenfranchisement for what it is : Control over public opinion. a. Apathy cannot exist in an environment as hopeless as this. Any emotion whether it be frustration, joy or just plain being pissed off is better than silence in the face of tyranny. 2. Using Social media as an echo chamber for our point of view on issues that matter to us. a. If the existing social behemoths are going to use their power to censor free speech then new social networks or even better city/state wide organizations need to be formed instead. please comment and make suggestions thank you for your time |

RE: The Future Establishment : No man is an Island
I agree 100% with what you say. People know our destinies are being guided by malevolent elites, and are looking for solutions. You just provided quite a few.
Looking around this board, we can see most if not all of these ideas already mentioned, however your post is a nice synopsis.
