I'm of mixed opinion on Zappa. While he was a fantastic musician, extremely intelligent, and politically astute, he wrote a lot of music with potty lyrics. What if he'd really spoken his mind?

His answer to his potty lyric critics was always that music is supposed to be entertaining. I believed that it can be both entertaining and enlightening, and that he had the brains to write that way...

He didn't always write potty lyrics. You're mistaking him for what hes famous for. Thats more a reflection on society. It also was rebellion. Watch some of his debates with religious and political figures on talk shows of the era. They hated him. Some of the few I've watched only made me like him more than ever.
I would suggest "I am the Slime". When I listen to it, it still seems very relevant.
