Well it didn't get the 6 month extension and is being used now as a tool to get Russian Count Ignatieff elected already.
Bill C-36 passed in the Senate Monday night (nice b-day present thanks) by a majority vote. Media coverage absent. No amendments. Just needs to be rubber stamped by the Queen to become law.
