RE: ~yeti and nik~
Another thing, why don't we have encryption on the tracker or on the forum ? This was another thing i did not understand, you go on about being so secure, but yet you register the domain with your full address and name and an email address of another domain that has private registration. So why no encryption on the tracker any more ?

RE: ~yeti and nik~
Virginia Satir ...
... perhaps the greatest marriage counselor of all times. When she began working with a couple, their first assignment was the following: Each person committed to take the time to be personally and individually alone, without any company, friends, family, intoxicants, and without their spouse being present ... ... and they committed to ask themselves, without input, the question, "Can this marriage be saved ??" Satir refused to work with any couple unless they both answered with a committed, and unequivocal, and without reservation, "Yes !!". No ifs, no ands, no buts, no story ... ... just a committed "Yes !!". Give it a break, people ... ... give yourself some space. Get out and enjoy the sunshine ! ![]() Look into your heart ... ... and ask yourself: "Can this marriage be saved ??" Or rather ... Thanks, April, for starting this thread. Thanks to everyone for your comments. Peace to all!

RE: ~yeti and nik~
A lot of you people are not understanding of the full situation. You're asking me to stay, saying this is petty squabbling, etc...
I'll spell it out again: I own the server. I decide what software resides on the server. I posted a news item explaining that because I lost the trust of the other mods, I cannot allow software they control to remain on my server. Therefore ConCen needs a new host. This is what is going to happen. No amount of pleading by members or other mods will change this fact. So how did it get to this point? The situation has gone beyond nik's obvious insanity, and way beyond the NPT. BTW, it was never about the NPT, it was initially about the fact that nik, as a mod, became an intolerant evangelist for the NPT. Those of you who are saying I shouldn't censor the NPT are completely missing this fact. Perhaps you should be less hypocritical and realize that a mod who accuses others of being a spook because they don't subscribe to his theory is no longer moderating. Did I accuse nik of being a spook? No, I said he is either a fool or disinfo. Can you spot the difference? BTW, I still stand by those words, but add a third option - insanity. Now, for those of you who are accusing me of sabotaging the site, realize this: if I wanted to do that, I could have in literally seconds - but I haven't, and will not do so. The last time the rug was pulled out from under ConCen, I was the one who within hours, had it fully restored and running again as concen.org. I put a tremendous amount of work and know-how into that maneuver, and am thus pretty proud of it. The last thing I would want to undo is that work. How have I lost the trust of the other mods? There are several reasons:
Some of you people seem to think I don't know the difference between trusting someone or agreeing with them. I can assure you that I do. Do you? Some of you think it was my idea to air this in public. It was April's idea. I have the correspondence to prove it. If someone tells you any different, they are lying. Some of you seem to think it is a big deal that I created a user account without their permission. As the guy who maintains the back end of this site and also writes software for it, I need another account for testing. I decided to create an account with an obvious attitude and use it for a little bit of my own mod testing. The mods were aware I created this account. If you see that as a valid reason why I should resign, fine - I'm resigning anyway, so your wish has been granted. BTW, at least one of you thinks it is the height of deceit for an admin to have more than one account, and has used it as an excuse to quit the site. That person should be made aware of the fact that nik has had numerous accounts over the years despite having no legitimate reason to do so. So there you have it - I'm gone as a mod as soon as the other mods find another host for this site. There will be no interruption if at all possible in the mean time. So all you people whining that the site has been sabotaged can relax - the rest of the mods can take it from here... P.S: If any of you are under the illusion that ConCen can be easily run by committee, think again. Servers need someone maintaining the back end. The only way it can be done by committee is if every mod has the expertise to run it themselves. I have been trying for years to get at least one other mod to step up and help with the back end duties, but none ever did...

I thought that by running this site for years that I had established the experience to earn the trust of the other mods. I was wrong. I thought I could trust the other mods to make important decisions in a timely manner. I was wrong. I hoped that the other mods would do the right thing and help with the back end. I was wrong. The situation is therefore untenable. Do you understand that nothing you can do or say will change that fact?

Again, as a vote of confidence, yeti ...
... and as I stated in a "PM", I trust you. You have done nobly with this site. Whatever you do, whatever you decide, personally or professionally ... ... you certainly have my warm blessings. No ifs, ands, buts, reservations, rehashing of "history", no "story". May you always walk a "path with heart". Journey safe, travel far, my friend. Edit: And if you sponsor another site, let us know, so we can (responsibly) participate !

RE: ~yeti and nik~
Well that sucks major asshole, but Yeti, I really wish there was some compromise to be reached since you appear the to be the only person left who can really keep this place afloat technically.
In all honesty if/since you are the only one who can do it, it would be in everyone's best interest to find a compromise or come to some sort of terms. The whole situation with separate persona's is always a tricky situation because that is all you really have online, so when people start using multiple accounts its only natural to begin to have trust issues, and this wouldn't be the first time I've seen that sort of thing mess up a site. Anyways, what will you do if the other admins don't put any effort into finding a new host and all that jazz? I mean it literally seems as if the whole thing has ended up in your lap regardless and who is going to take it on? Who is even capable? RE: ~yeti and nik~
Yeti, you are appreciated. I think a poll should be started, "Should Yeti stay, even if it means someone else goes?" I'd vote Yes!
Yeti. you are needed. You've done more work for this site than anyone else, and for nothing in return but our gratitude. You have remained as impartial as possible and fair in all disagreements between other users (understandably until being personally attacked) since I've been here. You have uploaded some brilliant torrents, provided a wealth of information, forum replies, help requests, replied to countless PM's from users, all of which seem to become aware of who you are and how much your loved quite soon after joining Con|Cen. So much so, that in the early days, before I became more active, I actually thought You (Yeti) and Ctrl were the only staff/mods on the site, lol. We need you Yeti, the community needs you, and that's not including all those who don't post here on ConCen but appreciate the work that goes into the site. For every voiced support in the forum, there will be at least another 100 who don't post yet think the same! RE: ~yeti and nik~
How about both stay and keep out of the others way. If one doesn't like a forum then it is as simple as going to the next topic.
Sit a guideline of rules and penalties. Nobody should be above these rules. The offer is still open on the server, |

Everyone stays, everything goes. No rules, just theories and if you don't like them then ingore them. The messier the better IMO just leave the ego outside the keyboard. That or bring Mike back to pistolwhip some of you bitches into line.

I'm feel like I'm paying for trusting tom right now!
Three weeks ago... everything was fine. I can hardly believe this is even happening. ![]() I'm sorry, but 1/2 of the comments on tom's updated news thread are utterly nauseating! ![]() I don't know what we're going to do either. (about the server)
