Starvation is driving some homeless families in America’s heartland to trap and eat neighborhood pets and apparently small children. Cannibalism has historically been practiced by people suffering from extreme famine and in war ravaged countries under siege.

The United States is not experiencing a famine but millions of homeless families are facing starvation as they fight to survive on the streets. The mental stress of losing their home in the financial collapse and lack of functional street skills is forcing many to find easy access meals for their family. A small dog in the backyard or an unwatched child playing near the street are easy targets for the desperate and hungry.

Quote: A whole family of apparent cannibals has been found living near the south side zoo in Des Moines, IA. From what’s been reported the 3 adults, 2 teens and 4 very young children were taken into custody after a teacher on a field trip to the zoo reported a missing child around 1 pm. Tuesday afternoon leading to a search of the area. Unfortunately they were too late to save the missing 4 year old.

It’s being reported that the child was deceased and had been partially consumed by the group before police discovered the scene late in the evening Tuesday. They are withholding the child name at the request of the family. The group had apparently been living at the site for quite some time according to searchers.

A massive pile of dog, cat and other small animal bones was found at the small clearing when daylight broke Wednesday morning and reporters were allowed into the area. It remains unclear as of now if any of the bones are human. Detectives at the scene said nothing like this has ever happened in Des Moines or anywhere else in the civilized world.

I disagree once house pets and urban wild life is depleted if i'm alone and hungry i will be eating stray humans, it's called survival of the fittest, and in a volcanic winter one should not underestimate the value of "Fresh" meat!

Exception to that is if there is an biological out break where eating humans may lead to illness, and i'd only eat muscle tissue and use the rest for chum, if coastal, hideous decorations if landlocked. Might keep other strays and bands away from what i've claimed as a home. But of course like with any animal i advise hanging the human upside down before cutting the throat, and make sure all the blood is out as most illnesses caught from meat is from improperly drained meat. If it's volcanic winter you could then freeze what you don't eat on the average 200 lbs man there should be at least 40 lbs of healthy meat. And the benefit to after chaos humans is they will be more lean having used the fat on them now to survive so the hunt for meat should be easier.

As for the Article in question, it's fuct up, why not just steal for food, and to eat todays children, near a zoo... not the brightest bulbs in the chandlier eh? i mean the texas folks who were the truth behind texas chainsaw murders (movies) lasted for near 3 decades b4 being caught, poor parents of the kid 4 dinner though I'd want to have some sharia law in place in these kind of cases 4 sure, eye for an eye. make them eat there own kids then kill each other. I'm sure there kids r beyond saving if they r wired up by these parents, with a taste for human.
