Thanks for the follow-up. I'm sure he's more than happy to be out.

RE: Charlie Veitch Detained at Toronto International Airport
holy fuck... arrested for impersonating a law enforcement official by being a "love police" officer? That's got to be a fucking joke...

If not, it'll make the RCMP's, etc a fucking laughing stock, and (sorry Charlie!) it's almost worth the suffering! (j/k)

can you imagine what'll happen when actual comedians get ahold of this news?

RE: Charlie Veitch Arrested and Luke Rudkowski Denied Entry into Canada Part 1 & 2
I paid for this CBC video footage trying to drum up the impression of violent demonstration at the G20, so I may as well get some mileage (..why is that still an expression up here we've gone metric since '85?) out of it. Honourable mention of the burning car that made headlines on all the papers for a few days here in Canada. Not much word on what actually went on at the summit though. Mostly justification for government spending and the need for a police state to protect us poor helpless citizens from those violent anarchists.

my guess is that they decided on Chatham House rules.

youtube doesn't seem to like anything other than protest coverage when you seach for "g20 2010 press conference" other than "riot" coverage, but I found this, so make sure you didn't eat anything spicy...
LIES, LIES, (truth) LIES!!!!

btw, I still haven't been able to hear the interview mentioned above - It's not on the tracker, & maybe it's noscript, but if there's a way to download rather than stream it, that would be great. (I've "saved target/link as" (where I get a 3kb file that doesn't play), and gone directly to the link, where I get the message "Access Denied: the file is not available either because you are not logged in or do not have the owner's permission to view it.")

thanks crystal and everyone else - I've got it now... sorry I didn't mention it sooner.

It is a great interview - h/t to April for pointing it out. Inspiring in the face of totalitarianism.

Whitewash Article but I can do a little reverse spin of my own. Wink

Quote:Activist Filmmaker Charlie Veitch of The Love Police Suing Province, Police over G20 Arrest

thestar.com — Charlie Veitch, the British filmmaker that is bringing attention to the real issues of freedom from government dictatorship and corporate bondage and global enslavement was arrested under the so-called five-metre law during the G20. Charles Torres Veitch is now suing the province of Ontario and the police for his arrest and abusive incarceration.
