RE: Failed State – Photo of Kidnapped Mexican Politician Surfaces on the Web
When Joseph Blow and myself were once discussing the Sorbonne, I recall recanting to him of an experience I had once in Mexico of being shown some ORIGINAL prints of a kidnapped Mexican politician, he was the mayor of San Cristobal de la Casa as i recall.
The pictures had him tied to a chair blindfolded and gagged with a female Zapatista behind him holding an AK-47 with a balaclava and her eyes glowering down at him. They released him unharmed. I remember thinking how attractive this Zapatista woman was even though her face was hidden..it was all in the eyes. ahh memories. sry off topic. |

I know of people that know of rich folk in Mexico. From what I hear kidnapping is a national sport. The rich have very high walls around their, dress up as bums and drive in clunkers to avoid getting nabbed. But I also hear the booze is really cheap and you can bribe the policia to get away with murder - literally.
