RE: I'm Just A Little Curious About Some Things
Yeti,
You know that I was referring to the masses when I was speaking about a free ride. The majority of the people in this country fall into that group. The ones who work hard and pay their bills are in fact in the minority. I have traveled the country enough to know this to be true. This country PROMOTES a welfare state. "Most people" if given the easy way will in fact take it and you know that to be a fact. We see it everyday. If any effort has to be put towards ANYTHING at all people whine and cry about having to do things the "hard way". When did things change? Today the doctors, hospitals, etc are there to give you a pill for everything. Most of the advertisements you see anymore are all for meds now. For every pain (real or imagined) there is a pill. You ever listen to the side effects that are in the ads? Most of them will kill you. But people take them. Reality is a hard thing to handle. People are no longer equipped for it. They have pills for reality though, they are called anti-depressants and taken long enough will achieve their desired end - death. I work hard and pay my own way. I do my job to the best of my ability and watch people all around me slack, avoid responsibility, make excuses and refuse to do their jobs. And if you try to help them they GET ANGRY. What is that? You are punished for trying to do a good job? Do you have any experience with that? The majority of the people in this country want to believe the lies, they want someone to take care of them. They want to blame everyone else and they don't like it when someone points these things out to them and they will go beyond vilifying and demonizing that person. The majority have no right to complain about anything, they are getting what is coming to them. It's not the fault of the elected leaders. They didn't SNEAK into office, the majority carried them in on their shoulders singing and celebrating that that leader would save them from themselves. How pathetic can the majority of people actually be? Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag and begin slitting throats. H. L. Mencken |
