This is a great album, although the Iraq analogy running through it gets tiring quickly and to be quite honest is laughable when you think about it. Still it's a HipHop classic (the production is awesome) and should be in your collections.

Another day, another download for you all to get. This one isn't particularly political, although it does deal with issues like domestic violence. All the breaks on the album are constructed from Radiohead songs, don't let that put you off, it is damn good in spite of this.

<span style="color:#006600">GREENHOUSE EFFECT Vs RADIOHEAD - 12 INCH GREEN VINYL (2005)

http://rapidshare.de/files/29458447/greenh...iohead.rar.html

Enjoy!!!;)

If anyone has any more requests let me know and I'll see what I can do. :)

Top 5 Wu-Tang album? You sure? What about these:

1) Enter The 36 Chambers
2) Only Built For Cuban Lynx
3) Liquid Swords
4) Ironman
5) Return To The 36 Chambers

All 5 are streets ahead of the Killarmy LP.

Anyway, here's another highly political record:

<span style="color:#FF0000">DEAD PREZ - LET'S GET FREE (2000)

http://rapidshare.de/files/29600164/lets_get_free.rar

Enjoy!!!;)

This contains the classic tune "Hip Hop", which completely disproves Ctrl's "How the hell do you get any agression out? You can't bang your head to it, can't air guitar to, drum to it, or any other sort of musical agression release" comments. This track is a banger !!:D

Here is a great LP by Common (formerly Common Sense) it's not overtly political but touches on subjects such as Race, Equality, Crime, etc. The production by J-Dilla and ?uestlove is right out of the top drawer. One of my favourite HipHop LP's.:)

<span style="color:#996633">COMMON - LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE (2000)

I knew i’d be in trouble as soon as i clicked on this tread! Looks like i’ll be downloading music now all day!!!

Hip hop I don’t think should be looked like with a "garbage in, garbage out" theory! but i somewhat agree with ireland rockett’s theory of the type of music you listen to effects you.

ok, so everyone HEARS music....But i DO also think that some people HEAR music differently then others!

I ridiculously love the hip hop scene....but can blast easier listing music just the same...even classical!

it’s about recognizing unbelievable tallent...SAGE FRANCIS, and EDAN, and so many others that have been mentioned in these “hip hop threads” are, I find, comparable to RHAPSODY IN BLUE...or PINES OF ROME....or SYMPHONY NO 5

seriously, check out symphony no 5 and rhapsody in blue by the chicago symphony orchestra. listen to the WHOLE thing.....turn up the volume and especially the bass, (hip hop readers) you should be blown out of you chair by the end!!!

to me it’s about musical quality, and it’s FLUIDITY!!! and the “activation” of your spirit! :)

ireland rockett, i simply think you haven’t been exposed to the right stuff yet...yes the song you mentioned is powerful.....because of how it sounds and what they are saying right...? please check out....

Matisyahu 1.) king with out a crown
2.) warrior
3.) youth

listen to how it sounds and what he’s saying!!....Maybe you’ll like it!!

other wise, nuthin but high 5’s to all you hip hop lovers!

some of my favorites right now are

atmosphere....sage francis......eyedea and abliities.......edan.......del---or deltron!......
i like immortal technique and dead prez too....but it’s a different sound then the above mentioned! ALL of which though, i’m pretty sure have been mentioned in most of the “hip hop” threads between here and the old archive!!!

i like the instrumentals too like a lot of dj logic and some of dj vadim

I also think that THE HUMAN VOICE is one of the most amazing instruments of all! A good voice is probably most appealing to my ears! there are lots of examples of this but not many that sing about politics.....at least that i’m aware of ........that needs to change!!!

but there’s still good stuff.....like i swear that phantom of the opera’s : “music of the night” is really about really archaic knowledge, like the lyrics should be deep in a manly p hall book or something....
here they are...

http://www.stlyrics.com/lyrics/thephantomo...cofthenight.htm

seriously, download it....and listen to every bit of that song! and the “voice quality” sends chills down my spine!!! and no differently then good “build ups” in hip hop songs!

i guess all i’m saying is that i’m into lots of musical genres, and HONESTLY, the heavier metal is the only “music” i really can’t get into....

and a hand full of you have shined a light on great new finds for my musical library....been meaning to say thanks! ;)B):D

You're more than welcome;)

Here's another LP to download for you all. There's some really nice production on this LP, particularly the way he cuts old soul samples. Kinda like the RZA (who he has worked with).:)

haha...i ordered my mixtape legit. i support Bronze Nazareth. i've talked to him numerous times via e-mail.
and i use to run his official forum board when wutangcorp.com went down. he's a cool guy. love his music.

only tracks:
1, 6, 9, 10, 13, 18, 19, 21, 23, 35, and 29 are produced by him

here's his FIRST OFFICIAL ALBUM produced ENTIRELY by bronze nazareth since he became part of the wu elements. not political...but i love his beats.
