I mean - that my user account was deleted as was the thread I started and posted in yesterday, so the no-post deletion excuse is kinda weak. Standvast made reference to it in another thread on here earlier today, which you replied in. So thats what "exactly i mean"!!:)
@ grell - nice LP's. I got 'em both on vinyl. ;) Also - it'd be nice for the album uploaders on here to receive some thanks and feedback from the forum users that download the albums. :) |

I knew there'd be a reasonable[?] explanation.. As said before, some feedback/critique/reviews of the music would be good, also: "political" or not is not really the issue to me, if the music is innovative, and the lyrics ring true to life, that should suffice . politics "leave me alone " "leave me alone" as said by: ![]() ^i don't have that album in mp3/ vynil only. it's not that much nwo related either;) ------------- The previously uploaded albums: Benefit b.e.n.e.f.i.t. I dont' get hip hop at all. How the hell do you get any agression out? You can't bang your head to it, can't air guitar to, drum to it, or any other sort of musical agression release.

Quote:I dont' get hip hop at all. How the hell do you get any agression out? You can't bang your head to it, can't air guitar to, drum to it, or any other sort of musical agression release. Ctrl, look at it this way: -Breakdancing is physical exercise and helps in the realease of excess physical energy . -Graphwriters air out plenty of "agression" by attacking the system at the basics, by free public artistic expression and by making the point that "property" /material ownership is null and void in the world of the creative spiritual principle. -Djs excercise physically and mentally [it take mathmatic accuracy to place a scratch the right way, they use turntables and mixers as actual instuments in their own right , and they help spread the word , the elavation through the music, and the message to the people. -Mc's represent the knowledge of the past , the voice of the street, the language , the way, we embrace eachother when we speak [quote by Bigg Jus] Mc's have a responsibillity to teach the youth, to set an example, to raise the spirits by creative verbal expression, they ventilate "anger/agression" with the words they rhyme, as well as show any other true emotion. There is plenty of ways to release anger, and i think headbobbing to a rugged bassline, or a kick/snare combo that makes heads nod, even a pogo pit isn't unheard of,...i've been in several. [perfect example would be a Wu-tang show about 7 years back, which was just banana's, the show lasted 3.5 hours and the whole crowd was continiously bouncing in sync, creating a gigantic stomp by reverberating the floor,.. it was amazing,.. one crazy mofo even jumped offa 7 metre high balcony down into the crowd and was caught without a scratch on him,..it was energetic and very uplifting to say the least] imho HipHop requires participation, dedicated souls and visionaries, It's about more than just the music, but through the music [if i call it HipHop] i feel all 4 elements mentioned above need be represented. Quote:"you can't drum to it" Sure you can, mixing and adding rhytmic variations is key, the simplest stomp beat is very inviting to altrnating taps, drumshifts, and added percussion. Quote:You can't bang your head to itWell then what do you suppose we have been doing all these years? The Hop keeps head bobbing like none other IMO, the bassbumps and rhytm invite to do just that. Imagine AJ with a bullhorn, shouting out what he believes and wants people to take notice of, airing out frustration/agression out of compassion for fellow humans. ..now replace AJ and the bullhorn with someone like Immortal Technique and his microphone, or any other "rapper" [mc] with a message and a mouth. I can understand you personally not being "into" rap-music, neither am I , because the "rappers" nowadays ain't/couldn't /wouldn't be HipHop if their life depended on it, ..which it does:LOL: Maybe if you can give a few examples of what music you appreciate, i could advise you on some HipHop that would suit your taste, or perhaps merely show that rock-based samples and guitar-riffs are not alien to HipHop either. Peace' standvast. If Thine I that I spy with my own little I Doeth Offend thee ; Pluck It out. |

mind you...i don't think anger makes anything better.
but to express your fustration and let out stress is different. if you put anger into the music...you're only putting hate. that's not a message i would want to hear. or pain...either. i like to hear elevation and good thoughts, but we're only human we all got that positive and negative...so letting the frustration out is healthy. but it all depends on the person/artist making the music. and who's all behind it. but i don't want to hear some angry dipshit piss and moan about his life and get more pissed about it...i mean...thats just stupid. you don't accomplish anything like that. ![]() &A stupid man's report of what a clever man says is never accurate because he unconsciously translates what he hears into something he can understand.& -- Bertrand Russell |
