This is Zecharia Sitchin's amazing book The Cosmic Code (1998) where this bestselling author summarizes the whole series of books about the alien gods which supposedly visited our planet thousands of years ago, created man in his own image and exploited him like a slave until he rebelled against them. In his 6th and last installment of Earth Chronicles series, which is based on the premise that mythology is not physiologically based, psychologically metaphorical, or culturally allegorical but rather the repository of ancient memories, and that the Bible ought to be read as a historical scientific document and that ancient civilizations - older and greater than assumed - were the product of knowledge brought to Earth by the Anunnaki, "Those Who from Heaven to Earth Came." The Cosmic Code continues Zechariah Sitchin's saga of the Nefilim and their influence on the fate of mankind.
