Another Man .. Really 'it' Is..
Winstons True side of the matter:
Ruth Kelly, the Opus Dei religious fanatic, lunatic destroyer of the education system and now the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, which used to be what John Prescott did before we had to pay him to not have a job, has dropped her usual level of insensitive and thoughtless clanger.

She began by telling the Muslim community it needs to "root out extremism", which is ridiculous when you consider that even if you believe the government's ridiculous story of the 7-7 bombings and accept beyond all common sense that the people who perpetrated the crime were the four people that we were presented with in the aftermath, this makes a grand total of four confirmed Muslim terrorists in the recent history of Great Britain. Why would the entire Muslim community need to root out extremism when all of the available evidence suggests that there is very little to be found in the first place?

It is bordering on racist isn't it?!

As for her other moment of glory, this gem was unforgivably foolish and yet the press almost seem to have given her a pat on the back for it:

Britain has moved away from a near-uniform consensus on the value of multiculturalism

Not only does this comment immediately suggest that Britain is no longer able to function as a multicultural society, which is ridiculous when you consider that she is the person who is being paid to bring communities together, but it also opens the doors for closet racists to start ranting on about how Britain has been ruined by the very communities that she is supposed to represent and unite.

She is either doing a very bad job or, even more frightening, an excellent job depending on what she is really trying to achieve.

Britain needs healing, not further division. Yes, there are problems in some of the more diverse communities but these are as manufactured by the media and the government as they are by any genuine problems within the communities themselves.

Efforts like this from those in government just serve to leave more questions as to what it is that they are trying to achieve.

Harmony or divide and rule - The jury is still out.

What the wankers of Sky.News said..(not that it matters what they say)

Communities Secretary Ruth Kelly has called for a "new, honest debate" on immigration. She has also called on communities to "root out" extremism. Ms Kelly has launched the Commission On Integration And Cohesion in the wake of the terror alert earlier this month.

She said: "Alongside the debate, we need action at all levels - national, but even more importantly from local communities themselves to help build united communities and root out all forms of extremism."

Britain has moved away from a "near-uniform consensus on the value of multiculturalism", Ms Kelly said.

She also said it is "not racist" to discuss immigration and asylum, adding: "We need a well-managed system of immigration that has clear rules and integrity to counter exploitation from the far right."

Ministers hope that the new commission will encourage better community cohesion through schemes which could include mediation services and mentoring involving the private sector.

It is expected to make its recommendations in June 2007.

Habib Rahman, chief executive of the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants, said there should be a mature debate on immigration.

But he added: "It should be recognised that integration and cohesion amount to rather more than considering whether Islamic holidays should be Bank Holidays or calling on migrants to learn English.

"They are also about equal access to rights which for many individuals are frustrated by their immigration status."
