Faq For Beginners
I would like to see here a small guide for beginners like me. For exemple, how to include information to a torrent that one wants to upload.

Include information? Type it into a .txt file and upload it with whatever else you are uploading.
I know it's a little wise-ass of me, but did you try the archived forums? http://control-alt-delete.ca/v-web/bulleti...topic.php?t=446 There you go. hmm, I never heard of ctrl-alt-del. But I will check it out, thanks for the hint.
I actually want the file info to appear before you download the torrent. Still a bit confused about things that may be obvious for old users and that are almost impossible to unveil for beginners. I am my savior |

I didn't find what I want to know on ctrl-alt-del.
When I upload a file, there are three boxes. One for the torrent file, one for the title and one for the info. The info must begin with "http". This is the problem I have. I know there is a simple solution, but as long as I don't know it, I cannot include info files as I want. Please tell me how to do it, it will be the only and last thing I am asking. I am my savior |

Quote:I actually want the file info to appear before you download the torrent. Hi Phil999, I don't think that harflimon addressed the specific question you were asking. How to include info in your torrent depends on the app you're using to make the torrent. I've tried using a few different apps. Some don't allow you to add info, others will only let you add one line of info. I'd recommend Torrent Builder (which comes with BitSpirit) since that allows you to add pages of info and also lets you add multiple trackers. Once you've added the info to your torrent, it will then be used in the 'File Comment' section when you upload it to the tracker. Quote:hmm, I never heard of ctrl-alt-del. But I will check it out, thanks for the hint. Thats just the old Conspiracy Central forum, which was closed a few weeks ago to make way for this new one. There's a good thread on there called 'Making & Seeding a torrent HOW TO '. I used it to help me make my first torrents. Oddly, it seems you need to be logged into the forum to view that particular thread though. But here's a mirror for you -http://nzb.atspace.com/Making%20&%20Se...20HOW%20TO.html Hope this is of some help, Forbin "Things are more like they are now than they ever were before." - Dwight D. hmm, I have utorrent, and there's a field where I can type one line of info. Will try that out in the next upload.
Of course I could include a .nfo into the torrent, but when you already have downloaded the video, you can see in the video file itself what resolution, codec, etc., so the .nfo would be rather useless. Actually it's not that important. People are downloading anyway, and at least the file size is indicated. And I am not uploading great stuff of huge files. Personally, I just like to read something before I download, and I want to give this service to others, too. I am my savior |

The 3 lines in question, when you try to upload are as follows
1. The Actual torrent to be uploaded 2. The name, is what will appear on the tracker home page 3. The link, is if you create a thread in the forums, where ppl can discuss what you uploaded. So therefore, create your torrent, come here to the forums, Torrent seeding, create a Thread, add some text and attach the torrent file. Then go back to tracker and copy the URL of the thread to the LINK line Hope this helps The InfoUnderground TiU Radio http://www.TheInfoUnderground.com |

hey, Ognir, that's it. Thank you very much, that was the answer I was looking for.
In the meantime, I made another upload, and didn't follow your advice because until now I had difficulties to find the right forum (I have more than one ConCen forum bookmarks, and I recently always chose the wrong one. I am glad to be back on the right forum now). I am my savior |
