Laws like these are only 5% about putting individuals in prison, and 95% about silencing everyone else. What CTRL feels here is completely reasonable, and intended by those who back these laws.

The main important point being that Canada isn't a free democracy as it lacks the basic freedoms of speech enjoyed by our American counterparts(Not implying America has a democracy). Well I suppose the Patriot Act 1&2 abolished just about every Constitutional Right in the good ol' US of A anyways.

Canada is a highly taxed nation compared to other G8 nations, and we have a Governor General and other minions representing the Queen of England. Not to mention her face appears on most Canadian currency, and has her face is on another 20 or so other countries currencies. And supposedly Canada gained independence in 1985. Too many patriots fighting for something they know nothing about! Afghanistan for example was either a smart move by Chretien to avoid Iraq, or another political stunt for weapons contracts and U.N. ratings. Since when did Canada have a foreign interests in the middle east, and why do American companies own 90% of our oil industry, and we need Chinese Investments to develop the oil sands?

We need a political party that will nationalize our natural resources, and keep the profits in our own country instead of contributing to corporate globalization and while we neglect the poor, sick, and disgrace the war veterans who fought for freedom only to be left with a tiny government check that makes that keeps them just barely atop the poverty line.

The introduction of such a Canadian Nationalized Resource Agency (CNRA), would be able to fund such projects(from CNRA coffers), and contribute to urban housing developments, more money in the economy, and better paying jobs.

To make the Canadian dollar stable, and more powerful a Gold Standard, Diamond Standard, or Oil Standard, of 10 percent should be implemented. (All Canadian currency could be redeemed by Gold/Diamonds/Oil). This would encourage the same amount if not more Foreign investments status quo, but the CNRA would be in domestic control.

I worked for the Liberal Party in the past, including stints as a staffer for various MPs. I quit in 1993 after the Charlottetown Accord fiasco, after "leaking" the entire text to the internet. I was proven right by the result of the referendum, and asked to come back, but it was too late. I don't work for two-faced assholes, and never will...

So why is the Queen still on our money? Didn't we gain independence from the UK when we patriated the Canadian Constitution?

The answer is obvious, yet not one I ever considered until you pointed it out (thanks again for that). We never did gain economic independence from the UK. Our bank charters were corporate contracts issued and backed by London. The Bank Of Canada is still a corporate entity tied to the Bank Of England - Constitution and Charter Of Rights And Freedoms "notwithstanding"...

It's set to expand the definition of hate crimes to include "thought crimes" against the homosexual agenda. "HR1592 is about hate - hating free speech, hating equal justice, and speaking out against any group". I think we all know which group this is really for, and it's not for church grandmas preaching the word...

Remember the Philadelphia grandmothers who were thrown in jail for simply sharing their faith. They were accused of violating Pennsylvania's "hate crimes" law and faced the possibility of 47 years in prison.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this wasn’t a little to convenient.

Hell look at the “Patriot Act” written long before 9/11 and passed only after it. I feel kind of stupid making this point here (akin to beating the skeleton of the dead horse), but I felt it needed to be stated to make my point valid.

The law was obviously not good enough for the ADL or whoever sponsored it originally, so they needed a little help from society to justify more.

That guy and his site just reinforces the useful idiot syndrome, this is all just par for the course. A few more knuckle-heads like this and they can pass anything they want (and their real goal was “our kind” all along). They’ll ramp this up and any others after it as far as it has to go to engender the necessary public sympathy. This law will then be augmented and eventually become the “free speech/thought crime” legislation they wanted in the first place.
