Has anyone checked this game out? It's a recruiting tool. I was thinking maybe we could form a clan of ass kickers and promote and anti-government agenda on there ... it plays like all other fp shooters, so if you were good at the original doom you'd be okay there.

Downloading the newer version now... just noticed the lack of servers... that usually means everyone is migrating to a new vers.

I love all the realistic type shooters... and playing as an insurgent is fun. :)

Plus it gives you an interesting perspective on what sort of mind programing recruits must go through.

i was under the impression that no matter what team youre one youre always american, and the other team always appears as the terrorist's. or am i wrong?

You are not wrong... sort of... its a bit screwy... it seems to me a lot of times it gets messed up and you'll see other dudes as black hats... also, if you take Indigenous Forces you are more like a guerilla no matter which side you're on.

On another note.. I am wondering how long it will take before they design a weapon that employs these kids to control it that works exactly like a FPS... some of these guys are out of control good at this stuff. ... alas, I miss thee Asteroids, the game of my youth!

This is the game I play. It's a massive multiplayer battlefield sim. WW2 era crica 1940.

I consider it the best game out there. Its got planes, tanks, trucks, anti tank/aircraft guns, all types of infantry including paratroopers, snipers, machine gunners, sappers, even destroyers. It's been out since 2001. It's incredibly intense and the amount of stuff to master keeps you busy.

It's all player vs. player in first person no computer controlled enemy running around. A joystick is needed for most of the vehicles but you could play just for the infantry action. I do mostly. We all use teamspeak for voice communication. The teamwork factor is a blast. You actually join squads and end up teaming with the same guys night after night if you like. Unlike most MMOPG, it is all on the same server and the game world is seamless with no 'zones'.

I should try to find an old PCG magazine from '02 that's got a big preview for AA in it, I remember reading it back then almost like yesterday, for some reason I was excited about it at the time, hah

I think AA is fairly "meh." You can only play as an American soldier against "terrorists," not the other way around.

@Wokensheep: You are right, that is how the game is designed so you can't shoot American soldiers. It's a recruiting tool first and foremost. In BF2 on the otherhand you can play as the Middle East Coalition against the U.S. and U.K. where they clearly practice imperialist motives on Middle East soil.

Not that I condone shooting anyone, but I guess the army doesn't want to recruit "terrorists":rolleyes:. All these games are for competitive teamwork.

@John Doe 1984: I'm thinking about getting back into WWII Online. I used to play it early this year as a German soldier.

Right now my favorite MP games are BF2 and FH (a BF1942 mod, turning that game into a much more historical experience).

I always play bridge.... 30something honor... I had a higher one but I was using no-fog drivers and god cut down in my prime for it. ;)

online asteroids game:), not quite like the original RM-Nimbus (remember that dinosaur ? lol) ZX Spectrum or Commodore64 n Amiga or original arcade versions but its still a good ol game to get stuck in to ! something to bash your keys to:DI cant find the better online versions of it at the moment, not really been in to my gaming like I used to be, but if I do find the other versions I let yah know or if any one else knows then help our soldier tsoldrin out lol

LOL I gave up on this game a year ago because i was always getting my ass kicked too. If we get a concen team going though i'll go back into training... :P
