PICATRIX FROM HARRAN THE CITY OF SIN

The Picatrix is presented as a manual on sympathetic
and astral magic. It was written in Arab more than
likely around the 12th century, and holds the secret
of the talismans as practised by the Arabs of Harran
and later by the European illuminati.

The city of Harran was founded around 2000 BC as a
merchant outpost of Ur, situated on the major trade
route across northern Mesopotamia . The name comes
from the Sumerian and Akkadian "Harran-U", meaning
"journey", "caravan", or "crossroad" .

For centuries it was a prominent Assyrian city, known
for its Temple of Sin, the Moon God . The theology of
the Harranians can be divided into three periods. The
first is the Assyrian-Babylonian period from about
2000 BC up to the beginning of the Christian era.
During this time Sin was the supreme deity. The second
period can be noted as being from the beginning of the
Christian era to the Islamic period. During this time
the Harranians still clung to their belief in Sin and
appear to have expanded into various sects. The third
period begins in the 10th century AD. This time
period gives us a wealth of information on the
Harranians. Not only do the Harranians retain Sin,
but also they now claim to have been descended of
Abraham and note Adam among their ancestors.

THE ASSYRIAN BABYLONIAN PERIOD

The religion of the ancient Mesopotamian people left
its mark on the entire Middle East. The literature,
cosmogony and rituals influenced the major religious
ideas today of Judeo-Christian-Islamic tradition.
Archaeologists are reconstructing the religious world
of Mesopotamia through the ancient these ancient
temples, ziggurats, and the cuneiform writings of
hymns, myths, lamentations, and incantations.

TEMPLE OF NINGAL

Each city housed a temple that was the seat of a major
god in the Mesopotamian pantheon. Some of these
temples evolved into massive ziggurats. These gods
controlled the powerful forces, which often dictated
the fate of all humans. The illuminati priesthood in
the beginning had the duty to please the town's
patron. That job soon passed to the secular kings.
Yet the illuminati priesthood did manage to hold great
authority through the interpretation of omens and
dreams. Although the early illuminati gods preferred
justice and mercy, they also created evil and
misfortune of course. A mortal could do about it, the
best one could do in times of duress would be to
"plead, lament and wail, tearfully confessing his sins
and failings." Man for the western illuminati elite
is created as a tool for the use of the gods and at
the end of everyone's life, lay the underworld, a
gloomy dreary place full of shadows.

THE ZIGGURAT

The temple was very simple, rectangular in shape with
a brick alter called a “cella”. Priests, priestesses,
musicians, singers, and castrates staffed the temple.
On a daily basis various public rituals, food
sacrifices, and libations took place there. In
addition there were many monthly and annual
celebrations.

Harran, as well as Ur, was the center of Sin, the moon
god. The status of Sin was so great that from 1900 BC
to 900 BC his name is witness to the forging of
international treaties as the guarantor of the word of
kings. Sin is also called Nanna(or Nanna-Sien). Sin
is represented by either a bull or as a old man with a
lapis lazuli beard with a cap on which there are
bull’s horns. Sin is conceived when his father Enil
(god of the air) rapes Ninlil (Ningal).

SIN

Sin was the Sumerian Moon god. Sumerians were living
more than three thousand years ago in Mesopotamia.
Today Mesopotamia is located in the territories of the
states of Iraq and Kuwait.
Sin was worshipped in the city of Ur. The high priest
of his temple, chosen from the royal family, was
viewed as Sin's spouse. Sin was the descendant of the
sky god An. His parents were the air god Enlil and the
grain goddess Ninlil. Sin was depicted as a "fierce
young bull, thick of horns, perfect of limbs, with a
beautiful bird of blue".

The Moon god had several different names that referred
to different phases of the Moon. The name Sin
indicated the crescent Moon, Nanna the full Moon, and
Asimbabbar the beginning of each lunar cycle.

Enlil was banished by the assembly of the gods to live
in the underworld. When Ninlil realized she was
pregnant, she decided to follow Enlil to the world of
the dead to let him witness the birth of his child.
They gave their next three children to the gods so
that Sin could ascend to the heavens to light the
night sky.

In the inscriptions of Nabonidus from Harran, we learn
that the children of Sin, Ishtar (Inanna) goddess of
love and war and Shamash (Utu) god of the Sun were
worshipped as well. But these were not the only
deities worshipped at Harran. Ningal, Nusku, and
Sadarnunna as well as the lesser gods of Nabo Adai,
Ter, Šer, and Allai were all worshipped to some
degree.

SYMBOL OF SIN

Shalmanester of Assyria restored the temple at Haran,
called e-hul-hul, in the 9th century BC, and again by
Asshurbanipal. About 550 BC, Nabonidus the last king
of Babylon, who originated from Harran, rebuilt the
temple of Sin as directed by a dream. His mother was
high priestess at Harran and his daughter at Ur.

STELE OF NABONIDUS

The Beginning of the Christian era to the Islamic
period

During this period Sin remains the most important
figure in Harranian life. A trinity is developed with
Sin, Ishtar and Shamash. They are represented as a
crescent with two stars. Roman coins of the period
show Harranian influence.

CRESCENT OF HARRAN COIN

The importance of the temple of Sin is noted by
various references. In 217 AD Emperor Caracala was
killed after he was returning from visiting the temple
of the moon god in Harran. In 363 AD Emperor Julian
paid his respects to the temple of Sin. In the
Doctrine of Addai, the author writes of the moon god
at Harran. Jacob of Searug also writes of the god Sin,
the moon god of Harran. (52) The Harranians are also
heavily influence during this period by the Christians
and other religious groups, including those of the
baptizing sects, which would included the Mandaeans.
After the conquests of Alexander, Harran came to be a
center of intellectual and religious activity, which
evolved into a philosophical tradition centered on
Hermes Trismegistus. (53) At one time Hermes
Trismegistus was thought to be an Egyptian priest who
lied in very ancient times and wrote a series of
magical books which became known as Hermetic
literature. In reality Hermetic literature, is a
series of books written by various authors that
contained a mixture of popular Greek philosophy,
Platonism, and Stoicism that were influenced by Jewish
and Persian religious theology.

But still at this time there is no indication of a
traditional history with Abraham or Adam or a theology
including these two figures being practiced by the
Harranians.

ISLAMIC PERIOD

The Harranians came under Islamic rule about 639 AD.
The Harranians were described as Nabataeans pagans and
Greek immigrants. The Harranians made calculated moves
and advanced into politics. They made peace with the
Muslims and began to form ties with them. The
fortunes of the Umayyad Dynasty were due to the
Harranian’s political and military force. In fact the
Caliph Marwan (744-750 AD) made Harran his home and
moved the Umayyad Empire from Damascus to Harran. Then
in 830 AD the Caliph al-Ma’mun demanded that the
pagans of Harran either change religions or accept
death. They chose to be identified with the
“Sabians”. This began one of the most successful “con
jobs” in history that still permeates our beliefs of
the Harranians even today. They also were able to have
the School of Philosophy and Medicine moved from
illuminati HQ's Alexandria to Harran. In addition a
number of famous scholars are said to have come from
Harran.

The term Sabians of Harran only appears in the late
9th century. Before this date they were referred to
only as Chaldeans or Harrians or Nabataeans. The later
Moslem writers describe (after the Caliph al-Mamun
832-833 AD) describe these Sabians as people who
worship planets, idols, stars, and are located in the
city of Harran. The Harrians adopted the name Sabians
for two reasons. The first it was the Harrians who
wanted to be protected from Islam because the Harrians
believed in pagan rituals including HUMAN SACRIFICE.
Reason two is that they were active in politics
(unlike the Mandaeans) and were known to the courts of
Baghdad. Thus they were able to keep portraying the
lie of being the Sabians of the Koran. Yet the true
Sabians were never forgotten. At the same time the
Arab writers wrote of the Sabians of Haran they also
referred to a second set of Sabians by various names
and set them to live in Iraq as monotheist with a book
and prophets.

PICATRIX

The Latin translation of the work Picatrix can be
credited to Alphonse the Wise. It had a considerable
influence during the Renaissance and had a profound
effect on many western illuminati like Peter of Abano,
Marsilio Ficino, Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa. Even Pico
de la Mirandola had a copy in his library and Black
nobility Fremason and illuminati Casanova had a copy
when he was arrested in Venice by the inquisition.

The Picatrix for the western illuminati is the
perfect mage's handbook and constitutes one of the
greatest and most comprehensive treatises on magic. It
reveals all sorts of formulae, such as: "How to
destroy a city with the Ray of Silence" or "how to
influence men from a distance". It also presents a
list of magic images with the instructions for using
them. It deals with the sympathies between plants,
stones, animals and planets, and the way to use them
for magic purposes. It also mentions the power of
magic images and credits Hermes Trismegistus as the
inventor. The various talismans and procedures
described are aimed at curing diseases, living longer,
succeeding, escaping from prison, controlling one's
enemies, winning the love of another person…

What sort of astrology is in the Picatrix for the
illuminati ?

Proactive astrology looks to the future with a view to
improving it for the practitioner. In the Hellenistic
period (from the death of Alexander to the suicide of
Cleopatra) this was called Katarchic astrology, and
referred to elections. All divination has proactive
possibilities, foreseeing the likely outcome perhaps
in order to improve it or avoid it. The astrology of
the Picatrix is electional, choosing the optimum
moment, firmly proactive and empowering for the
illuminati practitioner. The belief his that the
Cosmos is full of invisible, i.e. occult forces, not
the protons, quarks and neutrinos of modern,
materialistic science, but planetary and divine forces
which can be channelled and attracted by the use of
sympathetic magic and astrological know-how.

The doctrine of correspondences, evident in the
herbalism of Culpeper, was a key factor and long lists
of such correspondences were compiled by the author of
Picatrix. It was thought wrongly since then that man
was in charge of his Universe and would be a great
scientist, if he could learn how to use these Jinn
forces to shape his destiny. This is the belief behind
Pico's famous Oration on the Dignity of Man, which
sums up the optimistic Renaissance illuminati outlook.

According to Ghâyat Al-Hakim, the cosmos is made up of
three worlds:
the material, the spiritual and the intellectual. All
the magic in the Picatrix consists of capturing these
astral forces (Jinns) and then guiding the influence
of these demonic forces to the material by using
talismans. That is why the book reveals the procedure
to be followed: engrave the images of the stars on the
appropriate medium.

The magic compendium is presented as four separate
books:

•
Books I and II describe prayers and promises of
profound revelations for the illuminati mixed with a
philosophical approach concerning the way that nature
is organised. It contains the art of making talismans,
which requires an in-depth knowledge of astronomy,
music and metaphysics. The author draws up a list of
images to be inscribed on the talismans and which
correspond to the planets and 36 decans grouped around
their respective sign of the zodiac.

For the three decans of Aries, you will therefore find
the following images:

"There ascends in the first face of Aries a man with
red eyes and a large, long beard dressed in white
linen drapery, waving his hands about as he walks,
with a red scarf around his head, standing up with
just one foot on the floor as if he were looking at
what was coming before him.

There ascends in the second face of Aries a woman
wearing a scarf and dressed in red, with also just one
foot on the floor, her face resembling a lively and
angry horse. She is looking for her son, clothes,
ornaments and her daughter.

There ascends in the third face of Aries a man in red
and white with red hair, appearing to be angry and
deeply concerned, holding a sword in his right hand
and a horn in his left hand, dressed in red. He is
learned with a perfect knowledge of science and a
skilled master in the art of ironwork. He wishes for
good and does not want evil."

Each of the seven planets also has its own specific
list of images. At the end of the work, all the
descriptions are accompanied by a highly strange
iconography to be engraved on the talismans according
to the heavenly body to be invoked.

An image of the Sun
An image of Jupiter
An image of Venus

•
Book III describes the stones, plants, animals and
other elements that correspond to the different
planets and signs, so that the spirits of the planets
can be invoked by their name and power.

•
Book IV is devoted to fumigations and planetary
orations.

In a superficial and practical sense, the Picatrix
reveals all sorts of formulae to combat illness, and
attract beneficial influences for the illuminati
practitioner. Somebody willing to face the danger of
working with such evil forces ready to take your soul.
See what happened to Casanova a illuminati Black Magic
puppet always ready to satisfy is Master Satan with
the abuse of this dangerous book of Black Magic.
•
To destroy an enemy: "Make two images, one in the hour
of the Sun, with Leo rising and the Moon falling from
the angle of the ascendant, and the other in the hour
of Mars under Cancer, with Mars rising and the Moon
falling. Make the image to resemble a man beating
another, and then bury it in the hour of Mars when the
first face of Aries is rising. When you have made it
so, you shall be able to command your enemies and
control them in all sorts of ways."

•
To heal an injury or wound: "Make an image of a
scorpion on a bezoar stone in the hour of the Moon
when it is in the second face of Scorpio and when Leo,
Taurus or Virgo is rising, and set the stone in a gold
ring and seal the softened incense in the
aforementioned constellation, and then give some to
the injured person to drink. These seals will overcome
the incense, and then immediately bandage the wound."

•
To increase harvests and plants: "Make images on a
silver strip of a man sitting, surrounded by harvests,
tress and plants, and do so whilst the Moon is moving
from the Sun towards Saturn and bury it wherever you
so wish. All the plants will grow and all the seeds
will immediately grow without any damage from beasts,
nor birds, nor even the storm."

Thats some interesting historical info. The statue of liberty is based on a ziggurat.

&The strength and power of despotism consists wholly in the fear of resistance.&
