Chinese President Urges Iran To Respect Un Resolution
Here we have a case of a well controlled NWO nation of China trying to give Iran orders.....
----------------------------------------------------------------------- Published: Friday January 5, 2007 Beijing- Chinese President Hu Jintao on Friday urged Iran to make a "serious response" to a UN resolution which imposed sanctions on Iran over its refusal to suspend uranium enrichment. "The UN Security Council unanimously adopted Resolution 1737, which reflects the shared concerns of the international community over the Iranian nuclear issue, and we hope Iran could make a serious response," state television quoted Hu as telling Iran's top nuclear negotiator, Ali Larijani. Larijani said he delivered a message to Hu from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who earlier this week said the UN resolution had "no value at all" for Iran. The secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council said China's support for Resolution 1737, which allows sanctions aimed at limiting Iran's ability to acquire nuclear and missile-related technology, would not harm Beijing's relations with Tehran. "Countries who have long-term strategic relations will not change them because of tactics," Larijani told reporters in Beijing after his talks with Hu. "Of course we all know who is behind the sanctions and nobody else is to blame", he said, in apparent reference to the United States. China is one of the five veto-holding permanent members of the 15- nation Security Council, along with the United States, Britain, France and Russia. Larijani reiterated Iran's commitment to continue "peaceful use of nuclear technology" within the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). "If we are threatened, our position (on NPT) might change," he said. Hu said the international community should continue diplomatic efforts to resume negotations with Iran at an early date. Iran has so far said that its nuclear enrichment is for research purposes and it would take time to achieve industrial-scale fuel production. It plans to begin production of nuclear fuel on an industrial scale soon, Iran's IRNA news agency quoted Ahmadinejad as saying Wednesday. Source - Here ~ Veritas Vos Liberabit ~ |
