At The Hospital Today
At the Hospital today, a friendly nurse was telling me that all the hospitals in are area are seeing a plaque in Taburculosis, and that them and other hospitals are in short supply of the treatments for it and the needles to use for this treatment. I haven't heard about it in the news, as the Government is keeping the lid on this story. I verified this information with a friend, who is a nurse in another hospital in the area, and she said that it was all true.

Whats a plaque in TB? I'm guessing you mean there is an epidemic of some sort. That's not all too surprising, hospitals are dirty places.

The belief in 'coincidence' is the prevalent superstition of the Age of Science.

Do you mean a plague? TB is the number one disease killer in the world and if your in the U.S. it is on the rise because of the the illegal aliens slipping past the border. This is one reason why we have IMS, they check those who want to come her legally for diseases. In fact there were 7,000 cases of leprosy since I last checked.

Thanks GW!

An old boyfriend of mine now heads up the TB Control Program at the State Department of Health where I used to work. I bet he knows a lot about this as the program used to have a Federal Public Health Advisor overseeing it onsite and there were many meetings with the CDC Atlanta.

In the US, each case of TB is considered a reportable disease by physicians/hospitals to the State Health Department.

The medications for TB were directly supplied to the State Health Departments through direct federal funding as it was a federal program administered at the state levels.

The CDC put out a publication Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) that contained all the national statistics of reportable diseases. I don't know if it is online, will dig.

I know even as far back as 1990 TB was a real problem in NYC and I hated being on the subway there as SO many people seemed so sick and feverish.

* * *

Yep, MMWR is online.

Seems there is a problem with drug-resistant TB strains.

Found this info on it:
