Java Is Everywhere
Here we have an advert on You Tube from Java regarding microchips and what they call a "social revolution"?

If you watch closely we see a man logging into his computer using a chipped card. His computer loads some kind of site titled Illuminar or something very similar, at first I actually thought it said Illuminati!

Sun Systems is worth researching into and keeping a close watch over. In one of their talks i've seen them using babylonian style monks within their designs. After just watching Alex Jones' Bohemian Grove documentary this really made my ears prick up. Very strange indeed.

My opinion is this, the Illuminati owns Sun Systems and through the use of Java they have nefarious plans. They even show that they will be able to track these chips within mobile phones and credit cards. I know they can already anyway.

At one point they show a man watching an x-ray of someones brain, are they trying to suggest something here? Like microchipped Brains?

Whatever you think its worth a watch. Enjoy.

Maybe a word of warning for all you Azareus users since it needs Java to operate.

May I suggest we not fall into rampant paranoia. Java is merely a tool. It can be used for good or evil.

I will agree however that the advert had many Illuminati/NWO/One World Government overtones in it.

Azureus powered by java is the most awful power munching bit torrent client out there
I really dont no why someone hasnt used the open source coding to make builds that dont use java
thus making a better build without java munching away the cpu and ram but keeping all the features
of the original Azureus client - Azureus mods without java - that will be the day!

cheers for the video btw Dr.Druid

I hate Java, yet everything I seem to do on the web seems to need Java or JavaScript. Website admins usually obtain information about your computer through the use of Java code to improve their website. Hackers could use the same code to search for computers with exploitable operating systems and/or web browsers.

Not sure how far this has gone, but the Colleges I went to turned from programming in nice languages such as Pascal, C/C++ to using the Java SDK. It is possible SUN is paying Academia to teach Java instead of any other language. Surely Microsoft tried to do the same before with Visual Basic until people saw how awful it was.

I agree with Madizms that Java is a power hungry piece of software and often makes other software that use it bloated and un-usable.

WTF?? Java is totally optional. Javascript is becoming ubiquitous.

Bullshit.

Go back to school.

Did they put a gun to your head?

It was plausible a few years ago. Sun just FOSS'd their Java. I remember when Java was callwed "Oak". Old school prgrammers always hated Java, because it was slow and stupid.

So do I.

You can't make an azureus build without java! The entire program is written in java. The bittorrent protocol implementation is in java, it's all java:)

I will say that its reputation as a resource-hog has grown steadily. Though it's still the most feature-rich client out there.

This can be done with PHP as well. Like I said, it's just a tool, nothing more, nothing less.

This is true, the use of JavaScript for statistic monitoring of websites are often used by those who go through a third party, due to not having SSI capabilities to use PHP or they don't have the knowledge to obtain information through the language.

Java is indeed a useful tool for many on the Internet, some people see it as a big security risk as it obtains information that may make them a target for exploitation. This is mostly based on statistic monitoring, other uses of Java may have little or no security risk at all.

Honestly I found progamming in Java to be very boring, maybe I refused to adjust myself to the language, but I just found it horrible compared to programming languages that, in my opinion, seem to be far superior.

On a side note, I once remember a friend asking me a question back in 2004, wondering why the light on his webcam turns on when he visits certain website's. He asked if he should be worried about it and I sadly said no as I wasn't aware of flash/shockwave applications having access to the microphone and webcam at the time. These features were designed to bring interaction to the application without the use of the mouse, but there is too many 'badies' on the Internet that can use it for much more.

utorrent, but I think that's bought out by some RIAA connected corporation now or something so if you do get it make sure to turn the automatic updates off right away.

bram cohen + partner have u torrent now they are the creators of b.t. they paid 29 m for it.if you check out cohens stuff at least the guy has some apreciation of the medium and has had so since vinyl was #1.the advancements with digital microphones makes me think a new standard that is finally going to well outperform cd audio/vinyl will be introduced via bt soon.alough listening to mp3 for any length would mean your refrence point would be a little low.

Check out 2mins 10seconds in when he mentions Illuminating.

He's stood on a large masonic square and compass symbol.

well, wasn't it interesting how microsoft tried to hijack java and ended up having to turn the source back over to sun or something like that? yeah, microsoft and sun had a little fight over java, sun got java back. i remember reading about this, man, a couple years ago it seems, right from the microsoft web site.
