I don't see anything discussing it here. Looks to me like mostly hardware shielding issues dealing with radiation and intense light degradation to components.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there some debate as to when the Mayan Calendar actually begins by quite a few years?

if there was it's still not going to make much difference to the above, if their accounts are somewhat accurate. ( mayans and/or astrophysicists ) A few years is pretty inconsequential to this galactic movement, but it sure matters down here...if you dig up any info on that debated mayan thing let us know thanks

I check my links bookmarked but didn't see them, may be on another computer. Here is a few and there was a video we watched my wife recalls about it. Personally I think that there is a whole different meaning to the calendar and it's become twisted. What better way to rule over a people than to either take away all hope, foretell a predestined outcome or give false hope (depending upon your view). Either way you can entrap people and preconsume their minds with crap like that.

Here is my thoughts (unquoted, undocumented as far as i know but check anyway lol)

The calendar was changed by a pope somewhere down the line, BUT the mayan calendar represents an entire revolution around the Milky Way.

As I understand it there are multiple stones used ( is this correct?) . I have a book by Stanislav Szukalski called "Behold The Protong". what a mind blower. He has a large detailed analysis of the TONATIUH "( To The) Sinking' Birthgiving You Listen" which flies in the face of most other interpretations, also allowing for an understanding of the Mayan Gods and many other systems. This is one book I will attempt to get on the tracker&lt; except it needs a large scanner due to the page sizes. It will be worth the effort. A serious researcher, in my opinion, cannot be without this book.
