I too was astounded that the mayans could map the stars so precisely as to chart the course of procession. They were not the only ones were they?

Anyone got any scientific updates on whether black holes are spinning discs and have huge gravatational effects on a 2D plane? (the galactic plane that we will pass through in 2012).

Also more info on the periodic reversing of the poles. Has this been proven and is it every 26000 years?

I watched a docu on this on the tracker, interesting but very old and not totally convincing.

Apparently not. Just checked it out - it appears the switch (as far as they can tell) happens on an irregular basis, over periods as short as 1000 yrs and as far apart as 28,000 yrs.

Ed Dames is full of shit? Really? I can understand all the other questions, but man, just look at his track record, he's been on Art Bell making all sorts of amazing RV predictions and he's always wrong. Supporters will point out that he got one hit about an earthquake in New Guinea -- the actual earthquake was in Indonesia, and more importantly, a lot of other people had been predicting a similar quake for months: people known as "geologists"

I'll have to agree about Ed Dames. This guy is such an obvious fraud that I immediately question anyone who associates with him. Either they're in on it, or they're too lazy or stupid to check out this clown's claims.

He's as laughable as Sean David Morton, or any number of asshats who constantly make authoritarian doom predictions that don't come true, then deny they made them in front of overwhelming proof that they did.
