Religious Group Offers Ufoland For Sale
MONTREAL, Feb. 16 The Raelians, a religious group based on its founder's extraterrestrial experience, is offering to sell its Quebec compound for $2.95 million.
The property, UFOland, includes campgrounds, several lakes, an amphitheater and a condominium building shaped like a flying saucer, the Globe and Mail reported Friday. We have been in Quebec for 30 years and our membership is saturated, group spokesman Jocelyn Chabot, a Raelian priest, said of the decision to sell UFOland. Our future is in the United States. The group, founded by former race car driver Claude Vorilhon -- now known as Rael -- believes that humans were created 25,000 years ago in an alien laboratory. Rael says the origin of humanity was shared with him by aliens during an encounter with a UFO in France during the 1970s. The group gained international attention in 2002 when it announced the birth of a cloned baby, a claim that has yet to be conclusively proven. Source  ~ Veritas Vos Liberabit ~ |
