Why Do You Think China...
Quote:Quote:Its true there has to be something said for trying to govern a population of over a billion people. Its probably easier to cast a side human rights when the population is so over populated. However, it doesn't make it right. That's an inherent human flaw. People don't want responsibility and at the same time want to be able to blame others for failures. You might also consider that people want to be led and are more than willing to follow. I've noticed that the tendency toward government/authority is based largely on the size of the society. The larger the society, the more willing they are to accept government/authority. If you look at smaller societies, like family/clan based groups, they tend to reject government and authority. You see this all through history. One reason the Scots were dominated by the English is because the Scottish clans were fiercely independent and refused to unite under any authority for any lasting period of time. |
