I'm with CTRL and Ognir on this one... I fuckin' HATE leechers... especially the ones that are constantly blatantly milking - the "bulk leechers". They're easy to spot. You know the type - 1.6GB down, 43MB up kind of shit...

Demonoid, with the exception of their censorship policy, has a very healthy community because they insist on registration, and enforce ratios. They also allow heavy downloaders with shitty upload speeds to donate to the site, thereby compensating for their lack of sharing. It seems to work - they have torrents that are years old, and it's hard to find shit that they don't have... which is where ConCen comes in. You guys seem to have what Demonoid doesn't have, and they have everything else...

I used to have a true DSL account, where my upload was ~ 800Kb. It didn't take me long to 1:1 a torrent. Now that my main connection is fucking throttled Rogers (even though I've encrypted), I've had to cut down my D/L's.

That's right kids!! Since I can't upload as well as I used to, I DON'T DOWNLOAD AS MUCH.

I always hated those assholes who used their cable connection as an excuse to give back way less than they take. Now that I'm temporarily in a cable mode, I just take less, and wait longer to give it back up. Too easy?

Apparently it's too "hard" for some of you fucks - you know who you are!!

Another thing I recommend is checking for port forwarding. I dont' know how exactly it's done, but djmixes2k.com checks for it and shuts down your account if don't have them forwarded. I imagine they do that because it actually makes a huge difference when it comes to connectivity and traffic.

Eventhough I'm pretty much broke and I have under 50 bucks in my bank account right now, being a broke ass college student who taking this semester off and working since I can't pay for school/expenses and for other reasons that have been affecting my academic performance for a couple of yrs now which I don't care to mention. Not to mention the fact that I got hit by an uninsured driver, had my car broken in to and stereo jacked, and my engine locked on the way from Houston to Austin so my car's completely gone. So I hope you're a little pissed now, eventhough I seed quite a bit as I can't stand leechers eigther.

have to agree with you yeti, when im at work i share well over 5:1 ratio but at home i have crap connection so i dont download much and when i do i try and do at lest 0.8 ration on big files.

the industry standard is 65 charecters long for titles .......simple....Here in australia telstra ownes the gateway into the country and most of the network and is by far the biggest providor as well.." bigpond" being their id .this lovely company chokes like no other and also run whats called saturation engines .if your the first to download a file in the country you will get little upload speed until youre at 100 % so you can then seed within their network so they dont pay for as much international traffic .its a simple economic stratergy by a near monopoly but is hell on any bt user.

I couldn't find a way to check my ratio on the tracker here, but the few files I have gotten I've tried to seed back with my 384k upstream.

BTW Seeding 10 torrents at >40k/sec is about 3-4k/sec per torrent, and is not practical. If anybody is actually doing that you would get the 56k upload rates when they have broadband. Sorry but until data rates get better in the US, not everyone is going to be able to seed back 1 gig of data unless its for days.

I suggest you take this thing to a REAL private tracker. Only when each IP is attached to an access key for the tracker will the average person have a reason to keep a good ratio. I deal with MANY private trackers that give good incentive to upload and donate for upload credits if your upstream is slow. A place I go to has their server costs paid THRU July already. 350 bucks a month ALREADY paid for months. Not to mention the fact that if a torrent only has a few seeds you still get 300+k/s. Scenemachine.org is one of the best examples of a private tracker. If you don't want to make a good system for this kind of thing, then quit your bitching. This type of system would give you less to bitch about. If you want to have a system where anybody can leech, people will leech, end of story. Just auto-ban the fuckers when your on a TRUE private tracker.

Sometimes I have to reinstall windows >< so I lose all my torrents. I think I might have some of the data stored somewhere. I'll see if I can figure out how to reload them to the torrents so I can up some more.

I'm on a cable line and share the internet w/ 8 other computers(>< lots of people in my household) and my brother makes me limit upload to 8k otherwise it slows internet for everyone else(so he says). Anyways, I'll just keep the torrents seeding as long as possible. I don't even really use the tracker much, but sometimes I'll download something if it's mentioned in the forums.

EDIT: Btw, I bought a couple bumperstickers a month ago, not much I know, but hey it's somethin. Great one's too, "Dissent is the Highest form of patriotism", and "Who would Jesus Bomb". I don't even own a car. Oh well, I can put them on something else.

EDIT2: Dugg through my files and found some, they're up and seeding now. Sorry I can't provide more upload, every little bit helps though.
