Dude, ummm, I'm not asking what the NAU is and what's going on in general. I already know all that. I'm asking why in the hell the North American Union is being spoken of on CNN, AND the host is telling us to take a stand against it. Am I the only one that finds this puzzlings?

You entirely missed what I posted. It describes how that counter-movements and those that call for counter-movements are often a way in which the establishment channels and thereby nullifies dissent. Your question isn't new, and as you saw in the movie Stoakley Carmichael and many many others were asking the same question you just did by starting this thread. Of course you know what the NAU is etc., we're fuckin' regulars here for Christ's sake. You asked why it is being spoke of the way it is on CNN.
