The Native American REAL Holocaust
LOL, I had a friend once that said he would love to go back in time with a cigarette lighter. They would bow to him as the god of fire. Then I had to open my mouth and ruin it. I said, be my like they'd burn me at the stake and say I was an evil demon.
Actually I think the Vikings probably had a trade route set here and everywhere else. Maybe they thought it was just Erikson was back.:D |

It's not a question of 're-writing' anything..anything else inevitably leads to conflict. You described love and hate as separate sounding..i think that's dangerous,personally..at a core level..i didn't watch your youtube link. |

It looked like it would be a good flick to watch. Then again I love action and horror.

I haven't watched that movie, but it looked good.
Think the 2 wolves story comes from a western tribe (not the movie though). The meaning was that inside all people are 2 sides, love and hate, also battling for which one a man will chose. 2 emotions that are very much similar, henceforth they were both wolves. The duality of man? |

Quote:movie schmovie. :rolleyes:I was referring only to the conception that love and hate are mutually exclusive..when they are far from it, in reality. I have to disagree Nik, in my reality love and hate are exclusive...perception by others and expression of the feelings are a different thing, such as violence. One example... A sociopath can love killing and not necessary be hateful, but the act is perceived as hateful by the families of the victims. Or the feelings that motivate the act of violent war aren't always hate, one side might be fighting to protect or liberate innocent people, so called altruism/love. There's a difference in the motivation but the expression for both feelings can make it blurry, alot of bad things have been done with good intentions or feelings as the motivate , although I can't think of many good acts from the feeling of hate, for me as an individual self growth, patience and resilience. But to me love and hate are very different, in biological response; how they make a person feel (and other emotions produced, eg. fear, happiness, confidence); chemicals reactions in the brain and body; spirituality; responses to different situations; memory formation; and much more:suspicious: That's my opinion anyways going off topic Stone walls do not a prison make, Nor iron bars a cage; Minds innocent and quiet take That for an hermitage; If I have freedom in my love, And in my soul am free; Angels alone, that soar above, Enjoy such liberty. Quote:I have to disagree Nik I'm all for that kind of thing:) Can sociopaths love? Each needs the other for it's description, I think. And it doesn't seem to have worked out too great for us, so far as a viewing model. I think there's more to being here than 'just' the body computer. It all depends how one frames it imo. I choose to try and not regard the two emotions as wholly independent and one good, one bad.. mainly because I think I just see that it isn't so in the RW - and I'd be tricking myself if I were to say otherwise. I just go on what I see in the world and try not to attach or cherish a meaning to the words, I think. When they become precious they also become dazzling. someone is so scared of losing their love. they hate the thought of losing their love. so they grab hold of it and hang on for all it's worth. you can hate being in love with someone too. lol sides of a coin imo I do understand what you mean, I think:) As you pointed out there again are infinite permutations of what love can mean to any particular individual anyway at any particular time and circumstance. It isn't just emotional, it's deeply rooted in the asbract conceptions of thought and attached value, of course. so it one step removed to observe the unbridled emotion into the idea of nondual space, sure.. I don't think that presents any problems unless someone is, as you say,a sociopath...but that's just cos they're f*cked anyway. |

Quote:I haven't watched that movie, but it looked good. I agree with all that but can't help feeling we've got ourselves into this mess by constantly wanting to engage ourselves in this eternal recursive struggle anyhow. Feels like a bit of an albatross. I don't think it has to be like that. |

The Native American REAL Holocaust
This was kinda what I was basing the connection on. It was placed on the Lymphoma board by a friend a couple years back, but she didn't write it, just liked it. A few weeks later she died. In a way nik and Mexika were both right, just depends upon perspective.
<span style="font-family:Arial"><span style="color:#ffffff">"I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting. I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye." <!--fontc--><!--/fontc--> |
