Cash Reward For Recruiting To The Military
I just heard this as a passing comment on the KOMO-4 TV Seattle local news. It was a side comment type story just tossed in with the other stories given just a few seconds time.
Looking around on the website I can't find the information for the story. As well as I can transcribe what I caught it went something like this: "The Army has extra duties planned for reservists: recruiting. The Army is offering $2,000 per recruit." and I missed the last line after that. After that she moved on. I wanted to post this because someone may find a link if they look into it, but a couple scroogle searches came up empty. Maybe someone more "mainstream" like Alex Jones will have this story up in a day or two. Thought I'd throw it up for you guys first. Cash rewards for recruitment? I've heard of that before... for fucking cell phone service. New low. &We grow to recognize form. We grow to label that form. In doing so, do we become more intelligent? Do we become more awakened?& - Siji Tzu 四季子 |

They've been trying to bait people into the military with money for a long time. Sounds like they're trying to turn their reservists into covert recruiters. No surprise, they're really low on new volunteers.
If you went to an army recruiter right now and said you wanted to join the first thing you're given is a slew of aptitude tests. Depending on how you do on these tests you will be offered a "job" in the military. I had a really sharp friend in high school who decided to join the navy. He aced their tests and they offered him training as a nuclear power technician. He was offered a $5,000 dollar bonus paid when he graduated boot camp. He also got to leave boot camp at an E-3 which is the third rank up from the bottom and it's also a higher pay scale. When he completed his service they paid for any additional collage he wanted. For all that he had to sign up for 6 years. His time was up in 2000. I've wondered if he was called back. I haven't talked to him since about '99. &We didn't have education. We had inspiration. Quote:They've been trying to bait people into the military with money for a long time. Sounds like they're trying to turn their reservists into covert recruiters. No surprise, they're really low on new volunteers. That Navy Program has been going on for years. When i was in I remember some guys getting $30,000 to re-up. I could tell you endless stories about slimey recruiters. They always get the lowest of the low. Get as many people in as you can with less demands on the military branch. Get you to join and say "Oh, you can apply for that job when you get in". And when you get in they tell you what your going to be. Now they direct everyone to ground service. Navy doesn't allow new recruits with tattoos! Can you believe that, the service that pretty much made tattoos famous, now don't allow you in if you have one. So you get sent to the army or marines. It's a massive ground troop recruitment campaign. I even seen a totally "pimped out" huge ford truck with 22's and everything, wrapped with the advertisement "Join the National Guard" on it! Maybe they think if kids see this pimped out truck they'll think they would get to drive one if they join. One reason the war against racism (and sexism) cannot be won is that once a group is admitted to the club of &being white,& or being allowed, in the case of sexism, to use &the flawed white male model,& it already has learned all too well how to play the role of being superior to those still remaining outside those exclusive clubs. The real problem is that the illicit rewards, both tangible and intangible, in a racist and/or sexist society are so enormous that there is hardly any incentive to do otherwise.& |

Cash Reward For Recruiting To The Military
This friend of mine was on leave once near me in '99. He gave me a call and I picked up him and his girlfriend that he had from the ship. (They allow women in side by side now. I went on the ship there was actually quite a few attractive ladies serving. I guess you have to be totally secret. Hetro relationships are strictly not allowed. I thought that kinda made it more hot.. lol, anyway)
He stayed at my house for a few days and we paled around. He had been on a few deployments in the Persian Gulf. He told me that we didn't stop bombing them after the first Iraq war. He said we were launching arms into Iraq the whole time he's been in. Some of his words were "We're still bombing the fuck out of em" He didn't really understand why or why the media wasn't talking about it. I haven't seen him since except briefly in 2002 I think. We just exchanged small talk being busy at the time. Just something I thought of. &We didn't have education. We had inspiration. If I was educated, I'd be a damn fool.& -Bob Marley
