A rolling pin works good if you heat the product up first. Wrap it in cellophane and tape it off with scotch tape. Wrap that in wet newspaper and tape it off. Put it in the oven on warm for 5-10 minutes. Take it out and roll the whole package with a rolling pin. Then peel it apart.

I've seen better methods but I'm glad to find this at least. This one I have has a little "gold panning" type step where you can separate out the actual resin glands out of what you get from screening. They say the greener the more plant material has made it through. Pure is yellow gold like the color of the glands themselves. When pressed it turns black though.
