Quote:Your finger length can predict how you will do on various tests in school. They can also tell if you are likely to be homosexual or straight, if you will likely get certain cancers, be a musician, writer or a scientist, or if you will have an aggresssive or passive personality. The two fingers that are important are the index finger -- the one you use to point to something -- and the ring finger.

Interesting article here. Makes a lot of sense, and makes it clear that homosexuality is genetic.

B.S. The odds of getting cancer for the general public in America has increased from the 1 in 2 last year to you will have sojme form of cancer, it all depends upon what kind. That's kinda like shoe size determines the length of one's manhood.

Maybe you should read the article instead of making ignorant statements. They said SOME types of cancer are more prominent with this trait. They go on to say that it's mostly breast cancer and they think it's because there is more estrogen in the fetus during pregnancy. The more estrogen also happens to create these changes in finger size. So yes, A FEW cancers can be linked to finger size. That isn't to say it's BECAUSE of the finger size, but they are both the end result of the SAME factor(s).

Of course MOST all cancer is do to more direct environmental factors like carcinogens which we are producing at astronomical rates.

The belief in 'coincidence' is the prevalent superstition of the Age of Science.

Well not as much genetic. As I understood it they believe the difference comes during pregnancy due to different hormones. Now the hormonal levels unless changed by exterior events will likely stay the same through generations. I don't know if that's necessarily genetic, but it does make it clear that a homosexual disposition is passed on.

I stand corrected.

And silly me, I thought phrenology just about died with Hitler (one of his doubles that is), but no sir not tonight. The research condensed in the mentioned article struck me as being your typical example of science of little importance. So yeah there are some non vanishing correlations to be found between finger lengths and some of the more general traits that make up a human. Bu so what? What's the point? The whole planet is being sucked dry, people are purposely being sickened, diseases being manufactured and imposed on entire swaths of populations. How about microscoping that?

I contend there's no such proof to be found on genes being exclusively responsible for homosexuality. And even if there was, the expression of genes is not exclusively determined by genes themselves but rather by environmental factors. The field of epigenetics (the new biology) is based on this novel scientifically established notion. Hence, the end-result of a person being homosexual versus heterosexual relies on both genetic and non-genetic (environmental) factors. Genetic determinism is an exposed fallacy as scientists such as Bruce Lipton can assure you.

Environmental intervention in the expression of a genotype strengthens adaptability of an organism and may speed up evolutionary processes but a down side is that it unfortunately also may genetically hardwire sustained trauma. For example, the trauma endured by the Swedish during the famines of the 1800s was genetically recorded and transmitted from parents to children.

Ok, I read it and I still say it's a Sheeple article. Research breast cancer and autism. I think you'll find that most are food changes and enviornmental reasons along with the new drugs. I don't trust doctors or scientists, especially on this stuff.

Probably. But this is responsible for at least some of it.

The belief in 'coincidence' is the prevalent superstition of the Age of Science.
