This is probably very close to what happened to Jesus.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=21...h&plindex=0 * * * Luke 10:25-37 (King James Version) 25And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 26He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? 27And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. 28And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. 29But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour? 30And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. 31And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. 33But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, 34And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. 36Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? 37And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise. * * * So, the Greatest Commandment is to Love... |

Did my post about worshipping symbols go ignored ? ..
your post jumped over what I mentioned.. Btw I refer to no online sources nor videos nor any hear say to anything related to 'God itself I would not recommend anything that has been altered changed or made for people to accept easily and believe that jesus died on a cross or for people to wear crosses like its some kind of fashion statement Please, if one can - get a copy of the untouched - untranslated scriptures, translate it for yourself to understand (which should not be hard!) and take it from there. . . . ~ Veritas Vos Liberabit ~ |

No Madizms, it certainly did not go ignored, but to a Christian what is said in the New Testament, i.e., the greatest commandment I feel really includes anything done in the Spirit of Loving God with all your heart and I don't think wearing a cross is anything other than a part of that.
I know to different faiths, no image of anything created was ever supposed to be made, that would encompass all photographs and artwork and everything. I feel that one of the purposes for Jesus walking among us as fully man and fully God was God's way of saying He knew and understood the parameters of His creation and what they would be able to adhere to and what they wouldn't and that is why all the sin was taken into Jesus and then the sacrifice was for all mankind for all time. When Jesus left the Greatest Commandment, it was God's way of telling man that it was okay, just do that one thing, just that one thing. Just like the repentant thief that was crucified next to him, he asked for the Kingdom and Jesus granted it to him, simply because that is what the repentant thief wanted. I am a Christian because Jesus to me is the Greatest example of love, ever ever on this earth. In everyway, in the Gospels. That is what changed me was wow, a God that loves back...whoa! And then, when I accepted that I just always felt it through everything I went through subsequently, a closeness, and I was changed. I hate to say it in such a simple term, but Jesus is just cool like that. He's not punitive. He is really, really cool. Not that his followers are cool, but Jesus was cool. |

I think we should try to keep these talks in the appropriate section..
Upon Madz request this debate has a thread now in religion&occult Quote:Regardless of my preaching, why do you care what I believe? You know I'm on your side in this NWO we live in. That's an important question.. I care what anyone believes, mainly out of interest for the great spectrum of beliefs, which makes me not want to change your views [that would diminish the spectrum] but know of them so they can complement those of others and my own. peace' If Thine I that I spy with my own little I Doeth Offend thee ; Pluck It out. |
