Researchers in London, after studying inmates identified as psychopaths, who have committed murder, manslaughter, multiple rape, strangulation and false imprisonment, have found what they are referring to as 'potholes' in the brains of psychopaths.

It is believed these 'potholes' prevent linking, causing faulty connections, between two parts of the brain.

Using imaging technology, the study viewed the parts of the brain known as the amygdala, which processes emotions, and the orbitofrontal cortex, responsible for handling impulses and decisions. These parts of the brain were found to be "structurally and functionally different" in the brains of psychopaths.

According to MayoClinic.com, those termed psychopaths would suffer from psychopathy, a form of antisocial personality disorder.

However, some researchers believe psychopathic disorder and antisocial personality disorder to be two distinctly different conditions.

[st]Researchers caution against any suggestion that this small study may lead to potential screening techniques for spotting potential "psychopathic criminals" before they strike, as the how, when and why questions that relate to psychopathic behavior had not been determined during the study.

The study involved examining the brains of nine known psychopaths, comparing their brains' pathways to nine non-psychopaths.

interesting thanks. No doubt the elite psychopaths will twist it out into some sort of 'minority report' advantage for silencing future dissenters.

She has a problem with age determinable mandatory euthanasia??? She must be an anti-social, bring her in for psychopathy testing

Although, saying that brain scans for psychpathic delineators upon all those who are candidate to great influence and power sounds like a good idea.

In an ideal world psychopaths would be ineligible for office, or any other job requiring empathy. A simple test would weed them out.

Maybe we can find a cure...

We could start an internet movement based on demands that these tests are mandated for world leaders, CEO's/billionaire war profiteers/plantation owners and other 'public servants'..

forwarding awareness of the technology and drawing up demands that all political and business leaders, international bankers etc MUST submit to this safety check.

And if it is found out they are psychopaths they are disqualified from holding such positions of critical international and national influence! It'd be fun..like a satirical slant on the laws that used to prohibit Jews from any political office and relugate them to the mercantile arena.. as if that was a good move by the aristos rofl

The defence contractors would be totally screwed.

At least half of those are highly questionable. They will be using these against you and then "fix" your brain.

- Who defines what's right and what's wrong anyway?
- Persistent lying? But I'm telling you the truth. I'm not connected to that terrorist cell.
- Using charm and wit to manipulate others? That's normal social behavior.
- Recurring difficulties with the law? There's way too much law anyway. Damn anti-pot-laws.
- Child abuse or neglect? One dirty dish, some dirt one the floor - CPS snatches your kids.
- Intimidation of others - that's legal and perfectly normal for every animal.
- Aggressive or violent behavior - as in "protest"?
- Impulsive behavior - is what makes us human.
- Agitation - I'd be agitated if someone makes up some brain defects I supposedly have.
- Poor or abusive relationships. Poor OR abusive? That's a huuuge difference, we all had poor relationships.
- Irresponsible work behavior: well fire me, but don't fix my brain!

If you don't conform, they'll claim you've one of those things on the list and then cut into your brain or "fix" it with a dose of vaccine. Don't you see that?

Don't ever think for a second they'll be applying this to policemen, politicians, people in power, ANYONE OTHER THAN YOU AND ME.

They're already doing that anyway!

Perhaps you don't understand the article. With this new discovery, it makes the subjective symptom list irrelevent. We already know who the psychopaths are. Now, by examining their brains, in a non-invasive way, we can prove they are.
