But on that note, it is interesting they are so busy building this enormous space shuttle up in space, and planning colonies on the moon as well as mars.

Maybe some of the elite planning to take a hike if things gets too rough down here?

It's said (and seems like, when viewing older photos and comparing with newer ones) that they are terraforming mars at this moment, and that was one of the reasons of sending the rovers and ESA rocket/satellite thing up there in the first place.

Mars would be a good substitute for Earth, if Earth gets completely fucked up. Just some more vegetation, air (maybe that part is already there for all we know, after all its clear that Mars got an atmosphere) and you're set. Water's enough of up there already just look at pics from the south and north poles. Looks like enormous oceations up there with the glaciers . And other photos shows what most probably, from what they seem like, is lakes and other water resources. And heck a lot of vegetation evidence up there already. It's like dropping a stone down from a hill believing you won't get hurt if it hits your head so you don't care about moving. Unfortunately the laws of nature will put in forces that will make you hurt anyway, and this is just a simple physical laws.

They are many, both physically, mentally and spiritually, and they all interconnect in a way.

All I was trying to convey was that if someone clearly has ignored you once, they're going to ignore you again. On principal. The precise date determined by the Mayans was on the winter solstice, December 21st, 2012.

I find the theories regarding time acceleration culminating in a universe changing singularity very interesting. McKenna and other "free-thinkers" noted that "progress" has been taking phenomenal leaps in ever shorter time scales. Earth formed 6 billion years ago, life emerged 3 billion years ago, life came on land 800 million years ago, etc. And this became more pronounced in the stone age, bronze age, iron age, development of steel, advanced alloys, etc. This acceleration in "progress" can be seen in nearly any aspect of the universe.

There is a belief that this same acceleration is occurring in "spiritual" or perhaps even "mental" ways and that there will be a transcendental shift in 2012.

I don't really profess to believe most of these ideas but they are certainly interesting to entertain. Some talk about DNA being a perfect "antenna" for certain harmonic resonances which will activate on 2012.
